  • those are otis

  • I think so, because the buttons look like an Epco variant of the Lexan buttons, the floor indicator sounds like a really old version of the Series 1/2 beep, and looks like a digital version of the vanishing indicator.

  • It sure is.

  • Very, very fast elevator.

  • Actually, according to Emporis, these are Dover elevators.

  • This is an Otis, not a Dover

  • On some of them I did, and it worked.

  • Try the hack

  • That's rare to see a 13th floor, and I start in the car, because of the security in the lobby, so they didn't stop me.

  • Wow, there's actually a 13th floor!

Also, do you wait to film inside the car because there's security outside?

  • Yes, the older Dover bumpers are gray, while the newer ones are black. However, the floor indicator and passing signal do resemble Otis fixtures.

  • Those bumpers looked like old Dover bumpers however you know it is an old Otis when the bumper do not retract as the doors come to a close.

  • That's amazing, even if this elevator was built in the 1980's, and since it's a nice elevator, I guess the building owner could afford a door protection sensor upgrade.

  • wow old bumpers you dont see those on nice elevators usually they have the eye curtains
