  • Bottom Line : "IF MARY IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR JESUS {& this is VERY clearly DEMONSTRATED !} and GOD THE FATHER and THE HOLY SPIRIT" then :"SHE IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME !!!!! " Arguments ? ? ? ?

    Loudmouth ? ?anyone??

  • When your child is 'honored' in Class with a Gold medal /Diploma or a/Cash reward, LOUDMOUTH, do you go bash-up the{faculty} Teachers/Dean etc., because it 'Takes Away' your 'glory & importance??' OR, would you 'hug & kiss the child' AND 'thank' the FACULTY ?? This IS EXACTLY how MARY IS!!!! She DOES NOT TAKE AWAY, BUT "ADDS" to the Glory of GOD !!

  • I think Mary has to put in context. Marian Doctrine has developed in connections with Doctrine regarding Jesus' Divinity. As the Church has understood the Divinity of Christ, hence, Mary's role has increased because if Jesus is God, Mary has to be the Mother of God. But Mary like us have to be redeemed, but she was the first redeemed. One has to reflect on this and the Church has over 2000 years. But I admit Mary is a dividing line between Catholic and protestants.

  • Loudmouthspeaker you should change your name to Loudmouthspeakerwithnosubstance coz what you say is meaningless.

  • Very deep interpretation of scriptures! Mary is amazing.

  • loudmouthspeaker (Interesting name selection!): "Amazing" Anti-Catholic propaganda is not of God, as former anti-Catholic Scott Hahn (SHOWN HERE here at 3:43 onward) learned. I gave you his book titles, etc. But, you still haven't cracked a one of them. Why am I not surprised???

  • Hi,

Its truly amazing that the foudation of the roman catholic church isnt God, its not Jesus nor is the holy spirit??

Who is the foundation of the catholic church, well its mary surprise, surprise !!

the god of the catholic church is mary she is the foundation...

Jesus has been demoted the holy spirit has been pushed aside and God well he is under mary's thumb

dont like it well prove me wrong...

     loudmouthspeaker

  • loudmouth, you should learn to keep your mouth shut and think for once.

  • Prove you wrong? The burden of proof is on you buddy. The only being that us Catholics worship and show adoration to is God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • This is commonly stated but never backed up. The greatest devotees of Mary are the most Christocentric. For example John Duns Scotus is the most Marian theologian of the Church but he teaches that the very reason for the creation of the world is to bring about the Incarnation, that is, Jesus in the flesh. One cannot get more Christocentric than that neither by Calvin's nor Luther's teaching. And it is because of this high place we put Christ that we can put Mary in a high, but subordinate place.

  • Hey loudmouth, learn what the Catholic church teaches before you try and preach it.

Mary no more takes away Glory from Jesus as the moon does from the sun. Recognizing the beauty of the moon is recognizing the power of the sun, as without the sun the moon ceases to exist. The same is with Mary and Jesus. In honoring Mary (NOT worship!), we glorify Christ and His work. Mary does not take away from the Son, rather she brings us to the Son, just as the moon's source of light is the sun.

    Yup.

  • Paragraph 970 of CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

I put the important part in caps for you.

"Mary's function as mother of men in NO WAY OBSCURES OR DIMINISHES this unique mediation of Christ, but rather shows its power. But the Blessed Virgin's salutary influence on men . . . flows forth from the superabundance of the merits of Christ, rests on his mediation, depends entirely on it, and draws all its power from it."513 "NO CREATURE COULD EVER BE COUNTED ALONG WITH THE INCARNATE WORD...

  • I've already proven you wrong. Since you Pentecost accept Jesus as God and accepts Mary as Mother of Jesus. You and your church still deny Mary as the "Mother of God."

Also, you still can't disprove of me as to who else was called "Full of Grace" and who else gave a Virgin Birth. In Luke it clearly state that she would be called "Blessed for generations". You Pentecost failed that.

  • @Naturalhit She never was said to be full of grace. this is a misinterpretation which Catholic Bibles have been saying for centuries. Outside of a few Catholic Bibles, "Full of Grace" is nowhere found in scriptures. Here is a quote:

He went in and said to her, 'Rejoice, you who enjoy God's favour! The Lord is with you.'

And this is from a Catholic Bible which has corrected this mistake.

  • @N00bcrunch3r There is no Catholic v Protestant Bible. There is the Bible. You must ask yourself 'Where did the Bible come from?' You will find that it was the Catholic Church that arranged the Bible, the pope and bishops. The original Greek translation states that Mary is 'full of grace', not partial not even heaps and heaps of grace, but 'full'. Other translations are only the translators opinion and shows a lack of a good vocabulary. God Bless.

  • @loudmouthspeaker May I ask where you got this information from regarding Mary being the founder of the Catholic Church? May I also as, who started your church?

    Thanks.

  • 1) Does the Catholic Church teach that non-Catholic religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam etc) are not paths to salvation (to go to Heaven and to avid Hell)?

    2) Does the Catholic Church teach that Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water are needed for all people in general, except for the exceptions, those in invincible ignorance etc, for salvation?

  • Roman papists. How Anti-Catholic of you to make such remarks. The Catholic Church has not robbed Jesus Christ. I do think Non-Catholic Christians is being robbed in their worship. For one they do not have the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Eucharist. We Catholics DO (As well as Eastern Orthodox).

So the questions goes back. Protestant Evangical have robbed their worshippers of Jesus Christ from being properly worship.

  • If prots are robbed how come they come together in one body and worship Jesus with praise and singing? Jesus's presence isn't confind in a factory made wafer. He lives within us. He's the one that said "I stand at the door(heart) and knock, if any man opens that door i will come into him and sup with him." not your stomach but your heart. He's the bread, the bread isn't Him. Get it?

  • 3)When I meet a Mr. Harrisburg, a Jew in New Hampshire , I can tell him kindly that the Catholic Church teaches that ne needs Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to go to Heaven and avoid Hell?

    Contd.

  • 5)When we say that a non-Catholic can be saved through the baptism of desire, we need to also say that this is the extraordinary way, otherwise this would be indifferentism, suggesting that non-Catholics can be saved implicitly and in general by Jesus and the Catholic Church, within their religions and so they do not have to convert?

    contd.

  • 6)The Holy Office (1949) in a Letter to Cardinal Richard Cushing relative to Fr. Leonard Feeney said (like CCC 1257) that the Baptism of water is the general, ordinary means to eternal beatitude and the reference was to the baptism of water and not the baptism of desire which we do not administer?

    7) In Inter religious dialogue it needs to be kept in mind that the Church is the ordinary means of salvation (Redemptoris Missio 55)?

  • Mary would cry over how her Son's glory is being robbed by all these Roman papists. :(

  • you are ingorant, and you have no clue what ownoring mary means in the light of worshipping jesus chirst. If you see mary you have to see Jesus christ. Mary brought me closer to jesus and still do.... Imagen that your mother speaks possitive about you what would it do to me...it shines light on your personality and gives a possitive image on you as a person in my eyes

  • the part with the microphone was funny hehe.

  • It is through my Blessed Mother in heaven that GOD WHO IS ALL MIGHTY HAS DONE GREAT THINGS TO ME AND HOLY IS HIS NAME...The Blessed Virgins Immaculate Heart will Triumph and she leads us all to her son Jesus Christ...I Love Her SO..

  • Hello the first question in this blog is very controversial. Many non-catholics would say the marian principle is not biblical - not of Christ's teaching. As a Catholic, can you please refer to the scriptures in the bible that support this principle.

  • I take it, packamacka, you believe in the principle that all Christian beliefs and practices have to be based on the scriptures. Can you please refer to the scriptures in the Bible that support this principle.

The Marian principle is just common sense: Christians are incorporated into the body of Christ through baptism. And who gave birth to the body of our Lord? Mary! I was brought into Christ's body through Mary asking her Divine Spouse to have mercy on this wretch.

  • I just noticed the date of this conference! That date marks 90 years for the miracle of the sun! It's also my husb's bday, he's not 90 though... LoL
