@TheFringeBenefit1 Not homophobic, just drunk, i was probably surprised as I had some insight into his sexually from this song, probably i think it's a sweet thing if he is bi like they claimed, just never really heard it come through before so all i meant in my drunkenness was an observation. Sorry for the misunderstanding as i love this band.
@voro122 After watching PJ20 dvd, I got the impression that Andy might've been... unsure of his sexuality.
Or even that he and Cornell might've had a little thing going on the side. They definitely loved each other, but who knows in what way? Their business of course.
This and Cap.Sister -- Funky, funky rocknroll. I got directed here from watching the GURUFISH "Pimp St." video, and this is some great music. Andy was a star. "so please stop to laugh, and pity me. my soul means well, but i'm sorry."
"My future was in my hands, til I washed it all away, I washed it all away, washed it all away." That line was prescient of his own death. drugs will change you before you know it, isolate you, change you and leave you in the gutter, or dead. Even the "lighter" drugs will mess you up mentally. You don't need drugs to pump out great art... drugs kill -- like Sodom to Gomorrah, all dead now.
I remember the first time I heard this band. Grunge was on the horizon. Not quite to upstate New York. The guitar grooves floored me. Long live Love Rock.
We are looking to release 21 years after the death of Andrew Wood who was a very good friend of mine. A video never before seen footage live in concert, along with a few songs never heard before as a 2 DVD/CD set. I'm sure most who love MLB will enjoy this video. However we would like to have a response from you people if you would be willing to purchase a video of such. Please post your opinion here if you are interested. Thank you

i feel inspired....im gonna make some music now based on this....people this is what we all should do....grab an instrument and learn how to produce good music to get this mainstream nowaday's shit the fuck outta here. i know not everybody is good making music but hey..... it's fun and worth giving it a try... dont you agree with me.. i have a grunge band and we play almost like this style right here... soon i'll upload songs so that you can check us out. we are called Bloody Rooster.
@RamonesSkater4life R.I.P. : kurt cobain, layne staley, shannon hoon, andrew wood, and hole's bassist which i dont remember her name.......am i missing one? fel free to tell me.
@999deauville999 Bradley Nowell from Sublime, they're not really grunge but they were alternative rock in the 90's. John Baker Saunders from Mad Season. and more
@Alhambrattp Plus you comment would have more validity if Pearl Jam had all of the personnel of MLB, but Bruce Fairweather and Greg Gilmore were gone along with the departed Andy Wood. So they(Gossard and Ament) wound up with Dave Krusen, Mike McCready, and Ed Vedder.
It could be the weed talking, and I wasn't even really around during the time of this release (maybe a month old) but this band would have been huge had Andrew Wood survived. This is such an amazing song and record.
would of been cool to see him and Layne Staley togethyer as they both started out together and Alice in chains toured wioth Mother love bone at the beginning. RIP may you both be in peace and rocking togther
"My future was in my hands...'til I washed it all away..." - prophetic words from a great talent. Brilliant music from Andy and the band BTW in their very short-lived time together.
I just dusted off my MLB cd and listened to it for the first time in years the other day. Now after having listened to it, after a few years off I can really see how MLB was a product of their time (not good or bad just an observation). A little before the grungy sound (and look) but it is there and just at the tail end of the hair bands of the 80's, but that influnce is there too. It's like the mising link in rock evolution. Love rock awaits.
@Box7337 There were a few bands at that time with the same time frame and sound... jean loves jezebel, janes addiction... etc.. They were not that different... I am not putting them down at all ....They were just not that different
they were ahead of their time

@aghoranathi Was he gay/bi? Never had clue he was. I have no problem with it though. In fact, I think it's quite cool (no homo).
