You know what? You are one of the guys who make everyone else feel like an idiot. I'm 23, working on my first novel, no matter how enthusiastic I am nobody knows me, and I have no talent on drumming and you have everyhthing I want to have besides this catchy vid.. F you! (I mean fiction you)
Heard the New Yorker Out Loud podcast and thought I should this out. It is my favourite edition of the podcast and this is brilliant drumming (although it sounds better when you can't see the fingers).
Remember that Sunday lunch at Kettner's a million years ago when you brought the restaurant to a standstill with your 'drum' solo, Chrissie Hynde leading the applause??? Lookin good, Jimmy Wood...
sick kick.. groovin man. i need to upload another vid.. i was too haste with the video that i did put up. its more speed than groove in my vid. good shit though! be easy.. keep movin
LOL when I was at school with James Wood aged 11 or so, he was always getting told off by our English teacher for drumming on his desk!! I think the teacher used to read us Don Camillo is class and got especially irritated when 'Jammy' drummed through it..
So, not only the most interesting new literary critic (and what a treat we have in store as he develops and ages) but one hell of a finger drummer. I hear that William Hazlitt could do a mean moonwalk, and John Ruskin was an ace on the bongos.
Didn't I hear your name on Family Guy?

Thanks, very nice, surprisingly musical, and clever. Nice funk inserts as well.

His next book should be How Finger-Drumming Works.
That was too easy. Sorry.

A lost career as a drummer has been the absent, sunless center of all Wood's writing.

As Shklovsky instructs, tap your finger down at the exact moment you feel the beat will play, so every tap sounds at the exact time as the beat.
