Not sure why he insists on being called 'John Julius Norwich' when he's actually the 2nd Viscount Norwich. His mother was Lady Diana Manners, daughter of the 8th Duke of Rutland.
I love this author, historian, and scholar. One of my true favorites and a respectable individual. For those who aren't familiar, might I recommend his three volume Byzantine history and his - if rather general - history of the Mediterranean. Great books and read better than most fictional works. 5 stars and favorited this delightful video.
