because it doesn't play so good on such HW. If you intend to play it you will need to set graphics low and even then it probably will not play as good as it should. I love my PS3 version, no problem with that one ;)

the PC version requires pretty high-end PC's let alone laptops, to play the game properly, this is due to the game rendering the entire city at once, instead of where you are.

The problem with GTA IV is that it is made for Quad Core processor so if you run on Duel Core winch is minimum (Single Core wont work at all) you need a powerfull graphic card because then the card have to work four times harder then with a Quad Core so if you had a Quad Core with a 9600M GT you could run this maxed out

oh u better not take any chances...cos my frnd had a dv6 didnt turn off or sumthing but his mothere board burned out cos of the overheating n hids hdd crashed...now he got a fan for it...was thinkin of the 1221tx..just thinkin bout the overheating issues

well...there's important.If you play too long which I dont so I didnt ever had these problems, then you should use a cooling pad or something like that...dunno about DV6 but my DV5t 1199ec doesnt overheat...and maybe it's because I use only original drivers and certified updates.Really dont know.

I ve got 1199c or something like that...it gets hotter but I wouldnt say its worse than other laptops...it never turned of itself because of overheat so I d say its just fine ;)

well it is...I have HP Pavilion 1199EC and gameplay is really not bad...but I would prefere even better performance...it's playable, but the heat goes up quickly without cooling pad...Actually now I run under Win7 and I havent tried GTA yet, but certainly I will and then I'd like to see if there is some improvement in FPS but I guess I'm just naive about it =)

Thanx for your answer on the speakers. One more question, here in Japan there are a lot of reviews that mention the problem with the left palm rest getting very hot. Most laptops do get a bit hot but i was just wondering does your PC get hot to the point where you can't rest your hand on the palm rest?

I guess it'll be just fine...I already deleted the game, because I play it on my PS3, but I even tried some tweak where I set all High and it was still playable...not always but most of the time and now after RS released the second patch, you should get even more FPS ;)

jj...mám ovladače 181.00 a patch taky. Já myslel, že 17" se dělá jen s 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo, já bych si ho taky koupil, ale tenhle byl za stejny penize s vyssi frekvenci =)

Dělá se s vyšší frekvencí, jenže v ČR se prodává maximálně s 2.0 GHz. V kladně je taková firmička, která dostává notebooky ze zahraničí. Nevýhoda je, že to nemá českou klávesnici. Jo a koupil jsem to za 21 500 s DPH. B-). V USA si dokonce můžeš koupit C2D s 2.80 GHz

Clock is 500MHz and memory is 400MHz...

everest shows wrong gpu clocks, i want to know if it's normal. in gpu menu i should see alot of info about your gpu like the clocks, when i play crysis warhead with everything on med/mainstream on 1280x800 res i get like 13-19 fps, is that normal? how much fps do you get with that settings, and wich driver do you use?

I just tried normal Crysis to set medium and I was getting 16 while a lot of things blowing up all around me, 20 in the jungle and 25 or more inside the building...but I just rolled back my graphic drivers, because when I installed those new uncertified, I lost NVidia control panel and couldnot connect my TV via HDMI.Now I have sth like 17x...
