  • @watinowonder56724 it work for a fake 2 barrack, you build 2 barrack fast when he scout he will se you only have 2 barracks soo you biuld 2 reactors this will make your 2 barrack in a 4 barrack. you will need get 1 gas to biuld the reactors. and done 4 marines per 1 min

    waht you cand do whit banshees is make the first tech-lab for cloak and the place a reactor in the factory. you build an other port and change the factory for the new port and done... 3 cloak banshees in 5-7 mins

  • i dont get that what the fuck was his opponent thinking going in TvT for early marauders? Normally this wont work since in TvT people will usually go for mass marine / tank comp which means that once banshees arrive opponent has 10-30 marines which is way too much for cloaked banshees when scans are used in right way..

    In this particular video losing player seems to be absolutely newb, just watch how he scanned when marines wasnt even at the range...

  • @0asian1nvasion0 Spore crawler, Cannon, Missile turret has the effect 2 scan evrything in it`s area. But u need 2 have them cover your whole base so that the banshes cant do dmg to your base while your detection is out ranged. OR make oversrr, raven observer and follow them :)

  • @some1iknow1 Marauders cannot attack attack flying units, and the Banshee was cloaked so the Marines couldn't attack.

    also take ur natural expo, you'll have a lot of minerals

  • It's also very effective in TVZ and TVP, I am so Paranoid I always build 4 spores or more around my main base in ZVT. Just played a complete asshole who tried to bunker rush me, failed and then salvaged the bunkers and went for the next cheese (Clock-Banshhes). This is why Terran is 2 OP. And then he BMd me after 1 won. Fucking Butt-Hurt Terrans.

  • this is my best strategy against zerg. hydras take forever to mutate from larva and need lair which takes forever. terran early game is very op against air marines are the very first unit to build which targets air. good luck jumping for a while little zergling!!!

  • Yeah, mass marauder plus wall off using 3 supply depots, barracks, and no bunker is gonna work in TvT... Blue could have won using any other timed push, like mass marine.

    I honestly think Red was thinking he was playing against Toss... didn't scout either and got concussive before anything.

    Personally, I favor 2 port banshee because you can do it in the same time it takes to do 1 port... Just takes a bit longer to expo. But this game was during beta, so Diamonds then are Golds now.

  • Also its the red terran players fault all the way. What he didn't do was scout the base. If he scouted then he would have been ready and would have built more marines.

  • Terran vs Zerg this stradegy doesn'r really work that well. If the zerg player macros up really quick then theres no point of the bansheses and ur screwed.

  • @Rendeld16 BTW a zerg player will never be able to get detection + muta out in 7 minute or in this video 7:45 minute. Oh and in SC2 overlord are no longer detector, you have to morph them into Overseer. A zerg player will need to make spore and queens. Since it takes 1.5 queens to take down a banshee or 1 spore to take down 2 banshee. Given the fact if the terran player don't micro the banshee around and attack outside of the spore range, destroying the drones. Make at least 2-3 spore!

  • @warlockskz you can make a lair after a spawning pool, so you'll have an overseer easily in time when scouted, not to forget you can get mutas out in 7:30ish. REgardless of that aswell a spores detection range is greater than it's firing range so if you had 2 queens and a spore in a good position you can take out a banshee still.

    if ure as good as producinng units keep in mind ya gotta have at least 2 scvs qued up and 1 barrcks w/ 2 marines ALWAYS qued up after that move to the tch y want if you do this expansion and technology will be easy as well as having a decent army with a specialized technology unit that you want ( tech = expensive units like ghosts and thors anshees)

  • seriously guys, all you have to do to nullify ANY strategy is SCOUT EFFECTIVELY. if you walk into his base and see 2 refineries early on, he's going cloaked banshees. if he's doing that, GO KILL HIM, because he put all his resources in cloak and structures that he can't have any units. pump out marines, queens or stalkers and go rape his base.

  • This has been my usual strategy since I was placed as 20th in the Bronze League, after Marine-Marauder rush stopped working. And I'd say if you don't really know what strategy to use, I really recommend this! It rarely ends up losing. Thanks for the video, this helps me to make my strategy even better :)

  • @lygophile the reason he doesn't create the tech lab on the barracks is because he needs his barracks to continue to pump out units to defend his base and he doesn't have any intention on building any units from the factory at this point

  • @lygophile because then he couldn't make marines, and tech labs are fast enough that you don't need to get them early. you could start the tech lab when the starport was 50% done and get it in time.

  • @Zappzarrap There's a a strategy vid made by Force which shows a good strategy against fast teching (which is this case) where you'd mass marines early on. It's called the 4 Barracks strategy I think.

  • @Zappzarrap a couple of things you can do. if you scout and notice he might be going for banchees you can either get a fast raven with some marines or just drop some turrets down to stop his production of the banchee and force him to switch his tech. a great thing you can do is if you make him switch his tech try and guess what hes going for and counter that before he even makes it himself.

  • @zbindenz A fast raven needs as long as a fast banshee to produce, so this only works, when you went hightech fast air yourself.

    Missile turrets are the other obvious solution to spot cloaked harrassers near your base.

    You will need an engineering bay to build them, but its only 125 minerals, build time 35 and if you go bioball, you will want to have it anyway to upgrade your troops. Only requisite is CC.

  • Hey Force, quick question about adapting this build. I'm in diamond at the moment and used this in a TvT game but the opponent didn't make mules and used all the energy on scans, so he had a raven and vikings when I made my banshee. What should I switch it up to after? He attacked me with a small bio ball and 3-4 tanks and wiped me without a problem.

  • @kevwuT This is strange, since he hasn't been using mules throughout the game and he doesn't have the economic advantage over you. To have those sort of units out to match your fast banshees, is odd, because it would take a powerful economy. If he had a raven AND vikings plus a pretty sturdy ground force by the time you got your banshee, then your doing something wrong. Oh and be sure to scout! Remember if you had seen this coming, you would have ditched the banshees in favor of something else.

  • @russellk0431 I saw it coming, but by then was unsure what to go for. My first banshee got killed by his viking and I didn't assume he would go raven so I finished the second along with cloak. After that I definitely did not have enough to stop his 3-4 tanks and marine push.

  • @kevwuT Maybe hold your first banshee back until cloak is done? If you start researching stealth at the same time you start to build your first banshee, their shouldnt be much of a timing difference anyway, and two cloaked banshees can do much more damage than one, before he can move his marines to stop your harrass.

    You're gonna want to leave your barracks open to pump marines w/ excess minerals. The reason why the factory is used is that you for sure aren't going to be using it until after your first banshee begins building.

  • I never realized the trick with moving building to already built tech labs. Thumbs up for stealth tactics. Anthother thumbs up for being on of the best guides arounds.

  • The funny thing is that he had an engineering bay... any smart player would have started a missile turret in the mineral line the instant he saw your first banshee. You can target the SCV, but he could also start building multiple turrets forcing you to retreat.

    He's totally right. Anyone with a brain would start pumping 2 or 3 turrets at once. Plus I can spot the cloaked units and I run all my marines right under it before i scan to give me the most time to shoot it down before it flies out of range. You were playing against a scrub lol as he said himself

  • @codygautreau Walling in against other terran players isn't all that effective, since they have the same range as you. Sometimes they're actually able to get shots on your buildings and you can't return fire.

  • @codygautreau That's very true, which is why when I use this strategy I get 2-3 bunkers full of marines near my choke to fend off a counter attack as soon as he realizes he's screwed against the cloaked banshees. In this situation he could have pushed out and turned this into a base race, which he probably would have won considering how many more units he had.

  • Banshee is my favorite unit in SC2, I've been using it in anyway I can, and started getting it asap to find out it can really slow down someones economy.

    Most likely they'll try pushing out marines and building missile turrets. Someone I played last night tried to do this. And he did try lifting his buildings and moving. But he had 0 SCVs left, no army, and I had 5 banshees with a bunch of marines and some siege tanks sitting at his entrance. It's just late

  • whats the best way to know if your mineral line is fully saturated?

  • @zlaw777 I don't remember where I read this, but I read that if you have 16 workers on your mineral line, than it is completely saturated. Any more will be wasting workers. Btw this doesn't count for mules, if you get 16 workers and a mule, it will still give extra resources.

  • @zlaw777 You Know it's over Saturated When Scv's Probes Or Drones Constantly Move around looking for an open Mineral patch cause you can only have 2 per patch because they time perfectly when one is minning and one is returning to the CC NExus Or Hatchert
