2-- instead of worrying about what somebody else is or isint like i think lennon struggled with that to!!(letting the hate go) and that was his biggest fight of his life to try change that in himself. and probally is why so many people admired him wether they expressed it positively or negatively posed a fan or a hater. he fought everyday to understand himself. maybe if people like Laurence Shames todd mark david and even lennon himself just let that negative hate go..
maybe if more people said they admired people, instead of not understanding there obsessive admiration for someone. that it confuses them so much that they instead choose to pick apart the person s flaws to make them seem less than human/plain or really just pointing out what the lack in them selfs two and turn into a hater breeding hate.when really the person dosent fit the illusion that they set for themselfs.if more people took the time to woryy about themselfs and there own self growth...
bunchie1966 you are so on the money! "Deface The Music" is like listening to to a lost Beatles album! "Life Goes On" is "Eleonor Rigby", ""I just Want To Touch You"" is "I Want To Hold Your Hand "etc. A fantastic album!
no comment but what everyone else has said. Todd gets to do Beatles covers whenever and wherever he wants. Reverence and gumption. And let's not forget ability, for it is a strength Todd has in spades.
I love Todd...he was with me when I was growing up and I have never left his side. He could sing with a paper bag over his head and I'd love him.....Thanks Todd for all the great music!!
@bunchie1966 If you can...try to score a copy of Utopia's "Deface the Music" on ebay or at a used record store...You'll understand just HOW big a Beatles fan Todd really is.
The song is Singring and the glass guitar and it is actually off of the Ra lp the one that came out just before oops wrong planet. I saw him climb the pyramid also! And who cares if the word is you or you've????
I think he did this song while promoting the "Deface the Music" album at a New Year's Eve concert at the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby, PA, sometime in the early 80's. I've seen Todd more than any other band. During the "Oops wrong planet" tour stop in Penn State College (1978?/79?) he had a pyramid on stage which he climbed to the top (50 ft?) and then jumped off. Any footage of that jump anywhere and/ or what was the name of that song? appreciate you comments toddfan.
Hey! I was at that New Years eve show too! Excellent show!!!! I almost got in trouble for running on stage after the show to grab a balloon that said Happy New Year from Todd and Utopia. Hahahaha! Gave up seeing Bowie on Broadway doing the Elephant Man to go to that show. Well worth it..........................
A classic case of: one of their greatest fans has become as good as they were ( for this song) !

Just wanted to say when you search for this song, unfortunately Todd's version doesn't come up because it's : "You've", not "You"
