  • A classic case of: one of their greatest fans has become as good as they were ( for this song) !

  • Magnificent !

  • Upper Darby still loves you.

  • 3-- lennon might be alive today..!!!. let go of hate it gets us nowhere but lost.. miss you john.....

  • 2-- instead of worrying about what somebody else is or isint like i think lennon struggled with that to!!(letting the hate go) and that was his biggest fight of his life to try change that in himself. and probally is why so many people admired him wether they expressed it positively or negatively posed a fan or a hater. he fought everyday to understand himself. maybe if people like Laurence Shames todd mark david and even lennon himself just let that negative hate go..

  • maybe if more people said they admired people, instead of not understanding there obsessive admiration for someone. that it confuses them so much that they instead choose to pick apart the person s flaws to make them seem less than human/plain or really just pointing out what the lack in them selfs two and turn into a hater breeding hate.when really the person dosent fit the illusion that they set for themselfs.if more people took the time to woryy about themselfs and there own self growth...

  • Todd excels in any arena!!!

  • Turd Runtgreen steals another one

  • bunchie1966 you are so on the money! "Deface The Music" is like listening to to a lost Beatles album! "Life Goes On" is "Eleonor Rigby", ""I just Want To Touch You"" is "I Want To Hold Your Hand "etc. A fantastic album!

  • Haunting performance by Todd ... one of his very best over the decades.

  • That was freakin' sweet. Rundgren kicks ass.

  • he makes it his own

  • How many times do we as an audience want to kill some stupid fan yelling "play Hello its Me!!"

  • this song was the isnpiration to eddie vedder for write ederly woman behind the counter .... who appear in the vs album

    grate song !

  • Has always had my vote for Rock Royalty... he's amazing and timeless.

  • no comment but what everyone else has said. Todd gets to do Beatles covers whenever and wherever he wants. Reverence and gumption. And let's not forget ability, for it is a strength Todd has in spades.

  • Todd is THE man!

  • nice and lovely man.

  • If I'd known he was in Liverpool I'd have crossed the river! :o)

  • Todd rules!

  • Geesh why all the 'heckling' hear someone yelling 'wheel'. Great version of the song.

  • I love Todd...he was with me when I was growing up and I have never left his side. He could sing with a paper bag over his head and I'd love him.....Thanks Todd for all the great music!!

  • He's such a talented songwriter, it's no surprise he's a Beatles fan.

  • @bunchie1966 If you can...try to score a copy of Utopia's "Deface the Music" on ebay or at a used record store...You'll understand just HOW big a Beatles fan Todd really is.

  • So talented - I really like Todd for his unique style - Would love to see him in concert in Canada? On the West Coast?

    Claudette

  • Just wanted to say when you search for this song, unfortunately Todd's version doesn't come up because it's : "You've", not "You"

  • Thanks so much for posting....I saw Todd do this in Palo Alto back in 2000 (I think) or 01. Just FABulous!

  • just another in a long line of WOW videos

  • Thanks Rundgrenfan, great clip of the Todd man.

  • Love it. Thanks Rundgrenfan

  • I think he did this song while promoting the "Deface the Music" album at a New Year's Eve concert at the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby, PA, sometime in the early 80's. I've seen Todd more than any other band. During the "Oops wrong planet" tour stop in Penn State College (1978?/79?) he had a pyramid on stage which he climbed to the top (50 ft?) and then jumped off. Any footage of that jump anywhere and/ or what was the name of that song? appreciate you comments toddfan.

  • Hey! I was at that New Years eve show too! Excellent show!!!! I almost got in trouble for running on stage after the show to grab a balloon that said Happy New Year from Todd and Utopia. Hahahaha! Gave up seeing Bowie on Broadway doing the Elephant Man to go to that show. Well worth it..........................

    i was a beatlemaniac!

  • Thanks 4 the new post, another good 1.

Not sure what kind of guitar that is from the view, Fender? Les Paul? Any1 know?

  • What fun! What kind of guitar is that? Interesting bridge...

  • A Beatles' suit, a Beatles' song in the city of the Beatles....Perfection!
