Manga is more popular because there are lots of people in japan who like manga and it has cought on in europe, america, mexico, canada, and australia. American comicbook heros tend to stay in north america. But something isn't bad because you don't like it. I think the inking in manga is much better than in american comics, but the drawings are more detailed in american comics normally.

I don't think u explained the difference between a beginner and advanced comic... And if by beginner u meant the black&white comic, then I think u should open ur eyes and see reality, Japanese manga (Black&White) is more popular than all American comics (Colored). I don't mean to offend u.. I'm just stating facts.
