  • How true, how true....no dorky music, engines well tuned and pulling strong, and a wonderful day to take a ride in an Aerostar!!! 700 horses never sounded so good...

  • Muito legal esse video!

  • Anyone know of an Aerostar video that demonstrates the nose-wheel-steering?

    Does the nose-wheel caster on takeoff/landing? (like a b-29)

If the electric motor is inop can you steer with differential braking or thrust?

  • nice landing skipper!!

  • Wow that was a great shot of a cell they flew around! Nice!

  • I flew into a field that had a rain storm halfway down the runway like you did... I encountered severe turbulence on short final and lets just say I saw my life flash before my eyes. Imagine an 80degree bank to the right in less than a second 300 feet above the ground at the approach speed of 80 knots. Not fun.

  • The gear doors on the aerostar do whistle a little at let-down since the approach speeds are a bit higher than your average twin. I love the Aerostar. Finally got mine last year. No other plane like it.

  • @fixitupdoc Yes, very fast, but guzzles fuel like you would not believe!

  • @RogerDeanSmart Yes, but look at the total picture. It gets better gas mileage than most twins because, even though it uses alot of fuel, it goes very fast.

  • Four empty seats? Why didn't you call us?

  • I heard a screaching sound (metal) between 3:30 and 3:34. wht was tht sound?

  • I think its either the gear or flaps being activated. Can't think of what else it could be, having said that, never flown in one.

  • @eurofighter47 That's the gear going down right after the props changed pitch.

  • sexier than a vlj to me

  • Awesome !!!!! Thank you very much, I went back in time......I would sell my soul to the Devil in a nanosecond just to be flying that...LOL

  • Gotta love that turbo spooling sound

  • Excellent flare.

  • but I hear that they give you lots of maintenance problems.. is that true?

  • Nice.

  • One day, precious Aerostar. One day you will be mine! too. i want these plane so bad.

  • Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmm the sound of the turbos.. i want these plane

  • This used to be our old airplane! 700FP was great plane, my father did a great job restoring her with paint, interior, avionics etc. Fun airplane to fly.

  • This particular Aerostar is a 1979 Superstar II variant. Less than 30 of these were produced and for good reason, as any A&P will tell you. In short, the Super II project was to produce the fastest of all Aerostars. It uses the TIO-540-J2BD (Chieftain counter-rotating engines), coupled with a lower profile inter-cooler intake at the wing root. How do I know this? Because I held the camera for this video. Imagine how flattered I was at finding my own video here. Name is Jimmy Justice, by the way.

  • sweet video

  • One day, precious Aerostar. One day you will be mine!

    Thanks for the vid!

  • I can hear the turbos kick in

  • When Piper made good planes. Nice video

  • aerostars rock!!!!

  • Where did you take this video! Is it in South Africa? Nice flying!

  • this vid is a hop around lafayette regonal airport (KLFT)after an avionics upgrade.

  • looks like a normal day at the office for me

  • Nice video, thanks for not playing shity music. Love the sound of the engines!

  • I cant tell, does that have the SuperStar kit on it?

  • this is a superstar 700

  • Sweet flying!

  • Really good with some great views.

  • That was Great, Nice Plane
