  • Wow those celebs sure are the coolest! What they tell me to do, I'm doing! Yes siree!

  • llatino make your whole life happy busizz4me.info

  • why is it this guys are using sabbath to do this things, yet they never tell people the real Sabbath.?

  • Instead of doing silly discussions here (some of you) you should join ONE and do something for our planet and against poverty.

  • This has nothing to do with being rich. It has everything to do with coming together as ONE and help people. The celebrites are there to inspire others. Yes, it is sad in our society that we are impact by the rich. But, as least they are helping and getting others involved. It is more than most people can say.

  • lol yeah thats true... i think being rich helps you become a better hypocrite what do you think?

  • I just saw a bunch of rich ppl snapping there fingers. Pretty moving?

  • It made me cry... How is that we are so BLIND when we look at other people??

  • For the person who thinks they are asking for donations...one is a campaign to get people to vote. Whether we want to believe it or not, this is not propaganda...children die every second from hunger and aids...all over the world...even in our own country (I'm not saying a child dies every second in our country). It's just one more important issue to think about when considering a candidate. And I think it's nice to see celebrities doing something other than drugs or each other.

  • Wow.

Every time they snapped, it sends jolts through you. You know that it signifies another child dying. Snap - gone. Just like that.

  • It's strange how powerful it is to see people that you assume have power care about something like this.

  • Wow... the rich want us to donate! Why these people on the ad cannot asked all the big guys to donate... not just the average civilians like us...?

These TV ads can't do much... but the money the big guys donate can... stand up for yourself. Asked the movie stars and singers to donate more and stop anyoing others on TV.

  • It hits me so hard. It is a mixture of extreme depression, impotence, wanting to participate and wanting to go back and kill every one of the people that made this world what it is. And when I think that all those kids die of evitable causes, while I sit in front of a computer watching videos on YouTube, or lie comfortably in bed, and when I think that during the time I watched the video and posted this comment approximately 60 kids have died, I can't help but cry.

  • ONE is such an amazing organization and I'm so thankful to participate and work with it. This is such a moving message.

  • Yeah, ONE really is the top of Western hypocrisy. Nothing can challenge this ridiculous propaganda show.

  • VOTE -- BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE DON'T!!!

  • People don't vote because there is no choice to make. When they ask you to vote, all choices have been made, even if it needs a sniper rifle, a Diebold or a court in the end. Rather ask people to revolt.

  • Amaaaaaaazing ad.

  • Look, if you don't wanna support an end to global poverty and certain diseases, why are you so against it. This cause can unite people of different cultures and religions, people who have long-standing fueds, and give them a reason to join together.

So stop swearing about how this campaign isn't doing any good. It's doing more than you are about the problem, isn't it?

  • I signed up but it hurts crediblity when you have Puff Daddy and 50 Cent in the video

  • Oh look more rich filmstars telling us about poverty.

  • well, at least they try to do one little thing that could move the society.

and its not just about poverty, its about death.

  • Some of this may be true but is it not also true that in some cases societal and media pressures force them to support these issues or they are perieved as careless, feelingless, selfice celebes. Some people actually had to work for there success, actually most did now whether or not some are now big headed thats their own personal issue. this doesnt mean they cant support a well worthy cause. Without celebrities people woulodnt know about ONE so if thats what it takes so ne it!!!

  • "Some people actually had to work for there success, actually most did" - aah, like that exploited workers in the sweatshops, being treated like slaves, making the overpriced clothing our hippocrite celebs are making ads for. That "success"? ONE is such a farce it's disgusting!

  • No not that success. The work they had to do b4 they would even be asked to be in an ad for Nike,Alpine,Disney, Ralph Lauren etc.>sweatshop companies. There may be lame people in ads but it doesnt mean the ORGANIZATION is. If Joe Schmoe was in it would people pay as much attention? i personally support the goals and manifest of ONE. But no i do not support every celeb that supports it as well and yes i think they could find other people that are recognizable but not actors.

  • Gwen Stefani definitely should be replaced. She is a sellout "musician" that wants to be materialistic. those types we could do with out.

  • Hey, LISTEN!

This "campaign" does not have ANY message.

It's just a repetition of the never ending "it feels good to play the charity farce once again".

You can have a fundamentalist and terrorist like Pat Robertson on your ad to say "poverty baaad" (and, worst of all, they had...), but that just means AND changes NOTHING.

  • No message, i though the message was -- one by one -- to fight the emergency of global AIDS and extreme poverty. ONE is students and ministers, punk rockers and NASCAR moms, Americans of all beliefs and every walk of life, united to help make poverty history.

  • That's NOT A MESSAGE.

    A message WOULD BE:

    Poverty is caused by:...

To reduce this cause do the following:...

To evaluate efficency of the action taken do:...

    ONE can't deliver cause it's a farce.

    A hypothetical, abstract nonsense.

    A smoke screen.

    A feel-good.

  • ONE's members sent over 200,000 letters to Congress, urging them to continue efforts to support the Global Fund. In response Congress included $724m for the Global Fund in the Continuing Resolution that passed Congress in February 2007, an increase of $179.5m over last year.

  • If you think that's the way to change the situation welcome to the real world.

Economic hitmen take billions and Congress gives millions.

The US is trashing trillions for its murderous military empire and you expect some fund to be able to even sweep up the remains?

    Wow.

  • Yeah your rght about the u.s trashing trillions, so since we are arguing facts and opinions, we are not gng to get anywhere. so i need to get back to studying for finals so i can suceed and complete a bachelors in business, communication, and film to earn my money and respect not be a ---- celeb. ( im not trying to thrw tht in your face or shw off)

  • Good luck to you and your ventures and keep your facts and opinions because maybe someday i might be proved wrong in this but today im supporting this campaign. i cant change you and you cant change me.

  • To clarify those are my goals nothing done yet. i dont want to come off like an ignorant or big headed person. i actually took debate classes in school on United Nations issues so thats the basis for my arguments and why ive gotten so into this.

  • Maybe people like Lance Armstrong would he suit you? Or maybe Billy Graham, if not then who??? i understand where your coming from but i dont completetly agree.

  • It's so akward to see these bitchy sell-out celebs trying to eat some chalk and playing the fig leaf.

The problem is the capitalism, the banking system, the imperialism, the colonialism - can't see anything about that in the spot, just empty cheesyness.

  • Do you think they got paid to do that? Do you think getting celebs to help awarness is cheesy? i think you need to learn and be educated on advertisment, ONE and check yourself.

  • does it really matter whos saying the message? seriously i could be snaping my fingers to, it would still mean the same thing, and if it wasnt for capitalism wed be living like cuba, stuck in time without progressing.

  • Ah, so Cuba is "stuck in time". Well, I guess YOU are as you seem to have never heard about the embargo. Or about the living standard of Cuba. No one dies there if they have a "Katrina". They have no slums, no gun violence, a better health care system than the US. Stop hallucinating.

It doesn't matter who says the message, the fact which person says the words MAKE a message, now if that is new to you I guess all hope is lost.

  • i guess ud be refering to the "secondary embargo" the usa placed on cuba on 1992, and im sure u know the living standards of cuba as much as i know cuz i doubt u live there. First look at there technology, ther driving 1970 cars, and the new cars are bought privatley as many modern tools, they dont have gun violence (internationaly or nationaly)because ther is no one to fight with, and ther health care works on a national health system that makes it good but not better then the USA

  • You didn't do much school did you boondicks?

  • stop hatn mikodick

  • yeh these celebrities r livin it up, makin films wiv violence, etc, etc, but they r still making a point.

all the critics here, how many of u r willing to give up wot u've worked 4?

can u giv up wot u dont need so easily?

jus because sum1 doesnt practice wot they preach doesnt mean their preachings arnt valid

  • First of all, jsprev, this video was not 'foisted' on you, you watched it voluntarily. Second of all, 'white guilt'? Maybe there's a reason we should all feel guilty. Third, you think tax money should be given back, right, but only to those who won't need it? Quit whining and be proactive if you want change.

  • The foisting comes from the nefarious "One" campaign's attempt to abscond with US tax dollars and funnel them to other countries.

  • To say that these countries or people bring these conditions upon themselves is a way for many people to escape the issue or responsibility they have for those who are truly poor and truly marginalized. Many of us are lucky to have been born into our current positions. The median age of death in Sub-Saharan Africa is 5 years old. What would you have accomplished after five years of life?

  • "Lucky"?? Certainly not. This nation didn't just happen by luck. It was a lot of work.

What we have here is the manifestation of the fable of the three pigs. Those who came to America were responsible and prudent in order to pass a better life to their children. Compare that to the HIV baby rapists who just care about their dicks. Look around - they reap what they sow. And I'll be damned if they deserve a handout.

  • Those who came to America also ended up enslaving millions of people throughout the world. The resources in those countries were also initially manipulated by those outside of the country, called imperialists. The United States has never had that happen to it, and hopefully, it never will. And yes, YOU are lucky to have been born into a situation in which you are able to say "HIV baby rapists" on a website called YouTube.com.

  • It's really difficult to take seriously the actors and performers when 99.9% of the time where we see then on T.V, they're corrupting this generation... you know, poverty isn't the extreme of bad living- what's happening in America is.

  • I love how the actors claim to want personal disarmament (euphemistically called "gun control") yet nearly ever scene of them is of them dramatically waving a gun around.

It wasn't until recently that actors were respected at all. A vast majority of modern society viewed them as the low-lifes they are.

  • I would have to disagree. People WORSHIP these low-lives. lol. Gun-control? HAHAHA, I would hafta agree. They're standing here talking about poverty, while they're also deliberately incresing the rape,drug-use, murder rates and SO MUCH MORE!

  • Why don't you rich celebrity sell-outs foist your pathetic White guilt pet causes on someone who cares? This is all so you can receive the credit for spending someone ELSE'S money while you can live in your mansions away from "those people" (probably the source of you White guilt to begin with.) Do us all a favor and stop trying to steal taxpayer's money you thieves! This goes double for that arrogant prick Bono.

  • alright..great cause...but there is so much crap out there how are we going to save the world??AIDS,POLLUTION,CORPORATE AMERICA KILLING OUR KIDS (MCDONALDS)POVERTY,SEX SLAVE IN CHINA,DRUGS,GUNS,ALCOHOL,WAR,CANCER, ..how do we fix all this????BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE????

  • I would think that you tackle it as much as you can, one at a time.Thats why public involvement is so important.

You may fail after trying(as have many due to corruption and so on) but, not trying is even worse because who knows you might just make a difference. We're not doing any harm to ourselves by trying anyway.

  • Why don't you lazy entertainers throw YOUR OWN MONEY down the drain, hmmmmm? If money could solve the problems in Africa they would be solved already. The problem with Africa is Africans. Only place where there is an epidemic of HIV positive men raping BABIES.

  • buddy they do, million dollars only helps out a to a certain degree, even with america, like st Jude foundation, it costs more than a grand for each kid per day, one actors millions only can go for so long buddy.

  • They are still millionaires, right? They still have more money than those who they plan to bilk using the tax system.

  • This commercial has such a powerful message.

This week is my school's Africa Campaign week and we're raising a bunch of money to donate to Africa.
