  • some subtitles would be great...

  • Somehow I have the feeling that Thailand was so much more developed for that period of time compared to the current Thailand... nowadays there seems to be so much division amongst Thais due to various happenings, events and the way that society has become, this list goes on a long way and is much more then anyone would possibly anticipate. However at the end of the day us Thais still have the patriotism in us, we just need to all put in a hand.

  • This is the best movie of the Great King Maha Raja ever made ..The invasion of the Burmese trying to take over Thailand..it's a must see film..Best interpretation of our history..How we won and take back our country from the Burmese Imperialism and reuniting our country and become a stronger country :))

  • ราชวงศ์ใดจะรั้งแผ่นดินก็หาสำคัญไม่ ขอเพียงให้สยามได้ปกครองสยาม

  • i totally want to see this film! I watched parts of the making of for the special effects and that

  • I really liked this movie, but I have to say, Suriyothai was way better. And of course this is the Thai side of the story. The Burmese may portray it differently, but unfortunately our film industry is not as developed (as is the rest of the country). But this is history....and I thank the Thai people for their support of the Burmese people's situation at present.

I actually read about King Naresuan in a Burmese historical fiction. He's actually the hero of the novel.

  • I'd give it a 7/10 I guess. Btw you can go watch it @ [ MOVIES ACE . C0M ] for freee and the quality isnt bad either :D

  • whats the music at 1:23 ?

  • @Ultimatum1337 King Naresuan Theme

  • great movie of Thailand

    biggest history of Thai

  • ive watched the film and they villainized my people as the "baddies" lol

plate armored thai solders with cannons against loincloth donned peasants? and they dont even speak burmese!

atleast the film maker respected Bayinnaung

  • u do realize my country covers up what's bad and shows up the good, even if the good things in my country outnumber the bad things.. they're still there, u noe? Loinclothe donned peasants... dude, Myanmar is one of the poorest countries in the world, their history may be awesome, but they're poor now..

  • We still respect Burmese... I just feel so sad for those who were oppressed in Myanmar. Myanmar is a actually a great country - greetings from overseas Thai

  • wow, all the great actors in one movie

  • You gave the Chinese figure too high. I think you've been in Thai cities, hardly traveling out to the rural areas. That's why you saw Chineses.

  • ur rite.

  • No, ur figures are Very wrong........ Bangkok doesnt mean all of thailand you know......... if you go to phuket / Hatyai / and all rural areas...... please get youre facts right >:(

  • Dude, my friend's lil bro plays as Naresuan when he was a kid lol.

  • is this tony jaa?

  • nope ^^

  • Is there dvds out yet...?

  • great movie my father in law brought it back from thailand for me yesterday!! i had it before but someone borrowed it and lost it, now i have the 5 hour version!

  • LONG LIVE THAI LAND= FREE LAND!

  • @som1986 too bad to a lot of other nation thailand seems to be more famous of her ladyboys and red light district areas.

  • Back in High school,we had studied abt him as Asian History. There are some Burmese-Thai love stories which takes place during that times. These stories must be on screen, whoever to

    make,maybe both.

  • he is our hero.he fight for our country. ever thought he live with burma king. he still thinking of thai people. he fight for our country.

  • i watch this whole movie with my big bro.... I have no understanding of what they say cuz no subtitle... but the info. from my big bro cuz he can translate what they're saying.

  • (cont.) King Naresuan is viewed by many Thais esp. those in the military as a Maha Raja or a great King and also a 'soldier' King. He liberated the ancient Ayuthaya Kingdom from the Burmese imperialism and united the country as a whole. Still, be aware, this history is, of course, a Thai version one. If you read the Burmese version, the story might be otherwise.

  • yeah, basically, the Thais are wearing the armor esp. the main characters, King Naresuan and his soldiers. The easiest way to differentiate the Thais and the Burmese in the movie is through the costume; Thais don't wear the side-way-cloth head set like the Burmese do. And, if you want to know more about the story of this so-called "Great King" of ancient Siam, you should read a history book.

  • I wish I could get my hands on this film. I dont understand who is who. Are the Burmese wearing colourful clothes and thai wearing the armour ?. Little hard to tell. This film looks excellent.

  • Well, I could tell you that the war between Thai and Burman is like the war between English and the French with the Burmese as the English point of view. For who is who, the Burmese like the English are red and gold while the Thai unlike the French wear black or crimson.

  • @comprellion Thai warriors wear Black Armour, Thai normal soldiers wear red cloth. Peasants don't wear shirts.

And then Burmese are just the opposite.

  • Yes, no doubt about that. This is propaganda movie. Still, which movie isn't? And, Aesthetics-wise, we couldn't deny the fact that this movie is beautifully done. Great work from the Thai production.

  • wow....they made it soo cool

  • propaganda movie

  • A jealous bitchy comment.
