  • Man, this is so welcome right now. My lower back and flexors always kill in the morning, and the pain never completely goes away. I'm training for the ToughMudder in May, and this routine will help me get through my training. Thank you, Scott!

  • can you make ur back 100 percent again i twisted it boxing took time off went to chiro seemed to be fixed, today tried to lift something heavy and something went very wrong felt like sharp pains in my lower spine, now I cant move, kinda worried never been this bad before.

  • hey Scott my injury is like at the middle of my back or slightly above i was lifting furniture and stuff and i felt this pain slightly above the middle of my back so would these exercises be good for me? plz respond thx! :D

    And goals set there. Really been waiting for it. I'm 19. Pretty fit and in good shape. I stretch quite alot. After every workout. So my mobility is pretty good.

    Well anyways I think im gonna try this and maybe search for other treatments. I think im gonna go light on my weight training now aswell. I'm sure if I dont get this treated I'm gonna bust my back crawling in the forest with a 85 pound backbag and im gonna have a stinging back for the rest of my life.

    Could this work for nursing a more like upper back injury? I think im gonna try at least. I've been lifting freezers and other furnitures last week and I've had this mild sting in like just above the middle of my back. More like upper back. If I reach to the right and up I can really feel it. Same thing to the left. Its just above the mid of my back. I'm kind of nervous becouse of this, becouse Im going to the army next month and I really have high expectations...

  • Great video Scott. What's your opinion on wearing a weightlifting belt for exercises such as deadlifts? I was of the belief that it takes the emphasis off your core muscles & can actually result in a hernia, but my veteran powerlifting friend disagrees. I was thinking of wearing one because I've injured my back a few times now.

  • Hi Scott

    I've managed to pick up an unusual back injury, and am trying to get more info on how to rehab it. I did it during a set of seated rows. The pain is slightly up and to the left of my coccyx and spreads to the top of my left hamstring. The injury seems to be aggravated by sitting, and is very painful.

    Any ideas?

  • Hey scott, what advice can you give as far as recovery from overtraining? I find that i will train a body part, and a week or a week and a half later it will still be sore! It shouldnt take this long to recover and because of this i havent been able to train as consistantely as i use to. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

  • Nice timing Scott, I've got a lower back injury from a one rep max on leg press machine. Chiropractor says it's in my hip, I definitely lost range of motion in my stretching. He adjusted my hip and I get another adjustment tomorrow. I'll use these for sure!

  • Well done Scott. Nice safe exercises and stretches. I'll have to look to see if you have done any hamstring stretch vids. If not, can I request you do one. Tight hamstrings will cause lower back problems. too. Most people who have lower back problems, have tight hamstrings. Thanks for the vid. Your doing awesome.

  • hey scott, i wanted to ask you a question, kind of off topic from this but i was wondering what is the most effective fat burning thing to do, is it interval training, or just going outside for a long jog, etc

    like what would you recommend, im gonna be doing a lot of fat burning this sumer so i need help,

  • @44871umair im not scott but im pretty good with this interval training is real good but also keep in mind to have healthy eating habits, weight training, cardio of any kind but switch it up treadmil, stationary bike, elliptical if yu have a gym if not jog for a few mintues then walk and keep this up and yu will see result in no time

    its ok if your not scott lol. yeh i was told interval trainig along with a good diet can help you lose fat really fast. and dont worry, ill be weight lifting anyways, i still do but i was just building muscles and not seeing it my abs area so thats why i needed help with losing weight,

  • @44871umair Meal plan and Circuit/interval training..... you want as many muscles working as possible... logiccally, the more muscle pumpin.. the more calories you are burning!! :)

  • @eortega14 Thats okay my lower back hurts too, but that just means that your also working your lower back when your doing squats and I don't think you should wear a belt cuz the belt just takes your lower back out of the equation and you also can't get that nice arch either, if you feel it burning the next day and you didn't do a lower back workout then that just means that your lower back isn't strong enough yet to handle squating but if you keep it up then it will get stronger overtime

  • @eortega14 hey mate I've just done legs today and my lower back is sore as well, though it's not painful. A little soreness is ok, you're lower back muscles will get stronger over time. The main thing is to keep good form and lift the weights you can lift while keeping good from throughout. A belt might help with form but unless your lifting really heavy then there's not a massive reason to wear a belt.
