Oh yes, absolutely. A yarn needle is a little bit big to use but the smaller tapestry needles work wonderful. The method I show is of course just one more way to do it with the interchangeable needles plus it saves a step since you don't have to thread a separate needle. This method does require attention so you don't knit the floss in with the stitches.
an interesting technique - but have you tried threading the dental floss onto a tapestry needle (appropriate to the size of the yarn) and just thread it through all the stitches? It actually works easily when you have a large project...
Ah, definitely a little trickier with a lace pattern. I joined new yarn by knitting a few stitches (4 sts should do) with both the old yarn and new yarn held together then drop the old and continue with the new. I don't think it would be noticeable if you join in the middle so long as you don't work a YO with both strands. Also knit those sts a little tighter since the yarn is doubled.
Thank you Marlene so very much for doing this for us who knit slowwly and need help! I did not know about how to "save" my knitting until I watched you! So Grateful to you, I might even be able to knit in lace now! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your step by step videos!! Please do more lace! check out my spinning videos too. Thankfully, Grace
