Both trucks are amazing technology. The PPI toyota was the thinking of lighter is better and has probably been the only successful IRS trucks in the desert to date. Its also been the ONLY 4 wheeled vehicle to beat dirtbikes overall in the baja 1000 for the last 50 YEARS!!! Robbys truck on the other hand is heavy and nearly indestructible and amazingly its still around racing and winning. That truck was a riviera truck driven by mark post , and now is driven by norman motorsports 15 yrs later
if you look at both trucks without motors i would still say that robby's is the better set up, motor size isnt everything, having a well set up race car and team is what wins the race.
engine size doesn't matter all that much you fucking retards. open a fucking engine mechanics book. The time a trophy truck depends on a lot more than engine size. I could put a 1000hp v8 in a broken ass piece of shit and a 4cyl would beat it. God I hate seeing discussions like this on here. Make comments about the video not a bitching board.
IRONY : Robbie Gordon used to drive a Toyota a couple of years ago , Toyota was his sponsor back then when he started off road racing in the 80's and he still sponsored and drives a #7 Toyota Camry in Nascar Sprint Cup series and #55 Toyota Camry in the Nascar Nationwide Series . just a little something you guys should know before making comments.
lets see if you can control a V6 truck like Ivan during a wild battle in the desert at the age of 150 yrs old. haha I never saw Ivan perform at this age. Rob Gordon is great, but credit should be granted to Ivan (running a smaller engine & pure experience)
"Do you even know what the word "ricer" means?" the word "riceburner" was first used by harley riders towards the japanese bikes and later was broadened toward japanese cars. the word stems from the japanese's large consumption of rice. next time maybe you should educate yourself before displaying your lack of intellegence for the world to see. if it makes you feel better i am a redneck one that will schoold your dumbass anytime you like.
ps ivan had a V6 in this vid you dumbass ricerfag.
Robby is awesome. He's beaten the best in IndyCars (guys like Rahal, Andretti, and Unser Jr.), stock cars (Gordon, Stewart, Johnson, etc.), sports cars (Haywood, Kendall, Millen, etc.), and Ivan Stewart, the icon of trophy truck racing. He can race anything, and do it well!
Gordon had at least 300 more horsepower over Stewart's V6. That was Toyota's fault for even wanting to race in the same league before they had their own V8.
If they were running the same exact truck Ivan wouldn't be a pushover.
Yeah.....he sucks on pavement. But if you were to ask most nascar drivers who has the most natural driving talent, almost all will say Robbie Gordon. Lot's of drivers respect his ability to control a race car. He sure kicks a lot of ass off road.
I'm a huge Rg fan but the Ironman is badass, who else drives without gloves? HAHA!!

304teddy, Are you a FUCKEN IDIOT?
Do you even know what the word "ricer" means?
Enjoy your Pabst Blue Ribbon beer,
your corn in the can (since your a toothless dumb fucker and can't eat it on the cob),
your Fucken Stupid Wife/Sister
and your Fucken Retarded Inbred Children.
rmkNJ201,
I think the Toy Trophy Truck was running the TRD V8 engine (small, less than 5 liters) vs. the Ford's V8. I could be wrong.
Either way both trucks kick ass!!!
