i wish someone will take that plane up piece by piece and put it back to gether for a museum or for people to take rides in only 5 are left in the world

Hi @thelifedivine thanks for comment ... it was made few years ago, with SONY HC 14, very simple 1 chip camera and 35 W HID light from BENDA (czech UW light producer), its not HD :-), the new ones video connected to this one, is HD. There is some difference :-) Enjoy the dive, would be beatiful :-) !!!
thanks for sking, yes, the whole crew survived, they landed on the sea surface and safely reached the shore (its close) ... and yes, im always imagine the feelings of pilots when they hit the shots from messerchmits ... its like an nature museum :-)
B-17 take off from south of italy, been hit near calvi, but calvi had small/short airport for such big plane, so they decided to land near calvi on the sea surface.
Beautiful video, very haunting,and the shots you have are very thought provoking about the crew who flew this fine lady, and the events that brought her to this final silent resting place after she completed her duty, great video A+++++

The shot at 1:06 is really thought-provoking. I imagined all the workers at Boeing putting it all together. Now it's completely silent, some 64 years later.
Really nice footage and excellent edit. These planes are fascinating aren't they? Just for interest we have a B17 film from Island Vis Croatia loading up tonight so have a look...Its more intact but deeper so has a different feel to it. Have a look and keep up the good work! Coolbluefilms.

Amazing, I dived the wreck with my girlfriend last week. This video brings up some good memories... Did you also see the ale that lives in one of the engines?
Hi, thanks for reaction. I have saw a lot of fishes, barracudas and groupers near or inside the wreck.Its really full of life. We are visiting a lot of wrecks around the corsica incl.Alcione C, P 47, He 111, Canadair, Vickers and others, but have to say that this wreck is one of the best ... see you on board of Valhalla in future :-) ?

Did the B-17 aircraft take off from Calvi airport, or did it take off from Bastia or Ajaccio and just crashed at Calvi?
