im left handed .. I use a site to practice my scales but to be honest I don't feel Im getting the idea of each scale .. I can hit each note but Im not sure how to get a lick out of each scale
@darkglamour666 i think they are for solos.and its also easy to find the melody of a song when you know the scales because songs are created using scales in a specific key.hope this helps.GOD BLESS
wrong. u move out of position with the slides. instead of going for G to A on the 6th string then to B on the 5th string u need to move from G to A TO B all on one string
Having your guitar flipped opposite mine is slowing me down big time and making it hard to memorize the scale. I have to look at your guitar and translate it to my own before I play each note.
@sadpanda7 printscreen it and use paint to flip it horizontally but also vertically. First i thought this scale just didn't make sense untill i flipped everything
@sadpanda7 yeah I agree with you man that's actually driving me I can't even process that without thinking about it. why not just have it in tab form?
@markkkkkola to amend for my negativity I must say I respect your effort in helping people learn, a truly beautiful commitment.. just so used to tabs that processing that proves to be very frustrating
As a learner he confused me when he said for A scale start at the 5th note. He should have been clearer and only after looking in a scale book I have did I realise he means the whole shape is moved up, not just that the starting point changes, which is what he made it sound like. Thats the difficulty Ive found as a learner some videos Ive watched can be interpretated wrongly and other videos Ive watched turned out to be flat out wrong.
@BkkCheesepie hey i just picked up playing guitar 2 days ago and can u explain a little more what u mean because i kinda feel dumb asking but why with the whole and half is there 7 in your comment but 15 notes for the scale?(major )
Love your videos but i need help ! when i play the major scale mine my notes get lower as i get to my last strings but yours gets higher XD is my guitar out of tune ?
@appelbob7 Maybe, your guitar should have thethicker strings at the top and go down to the thinner strings...if that is not the problem , then you need to tune your guitar. Search youtube for a tutorial of that
I don't know how long you have been on youtube providing these guitar lessons, but in my opinon you are the best I have found. I am a beginer and have been seaching for a very good instructor with results until I found this site. I take lessions and have been for awhile, but you surpass him in your instruction. You are brief, concise, to the point and very understandable. If there is anyone that needs such, believe me check this man out. I am sure you will agree he is the best.. Thanks

@appelbob7 you might have a left handed guitar. the 6th string, fat one, should be at the top.
dmenaced 9 months ago
@appelbob7 its out of tune, or your not holding down the strings hard enough
