This song wasn't written by Alison Krauss but Don Schlitz and Paul Overstreet. Not surprised you got that wrong because Schlitz is relatively unknown ( only 2 Grammies and 4 ASCAP Country songwriter of the year awards) and so is Overstreet ( also only 2 Grammies, 5 BMI songwriter of the year awards and a mere 27 top ten country songs)

@reddragonready (and @kimdivine )... and though it is often legitimate to say a song is "by" the original RECORDING artist when covering it, in this case, that doesn't work, either - as the song was first recorded and released by Keith Whitley, who charted with it in '88, seven years before Krauss covered it. Your cover here may owe its existence to Krauss, but the song is not an Alison Krauss cover by any definition of the word.
