Most decent surge protectors/power strip combos cost between $12.00 - $22.00 actually. This also doesn't take into account actually calculating in high quality (Monster/Belkin/et. al.) units that could provide similar protection and capacity... nor the ability to adapt the unit to block power adapters through expansion and diagonal positioning combined.

that really is worth it...my printer power pisses me off its dimensions are(W x H x D) 2.5 x 4 x 1.5 inches...may not seem big but majorly annoying when you want to use all of the surge protector because you have devices that need the other spots on it.
