NOW I see what it has been that really bugs me about this guy. I just watched another YT vid of him speaking last year in Hawaii. I will tell you right now the difference in the speaking style from that video to this one is incredible. In this video, he seems to have a sort of "faux" Irish or Scottish accent with an American way of pronouncing some consonants. In the Hawaii video he is 100% American. No hint of an accent from anywhere. I am inferring nothing. This is just an observation.

He grew up in Elk Grove Village, IL right outside Chicago, (I was born & raised a few miles from there)~so he shouldn't have an accent. There are a lot of people out there who would highly ridicule what he's saying, but it really makes a lot of sense. If you look at how important religion is (like it or not) to the human race, it points toward us subconsciously trying to evolve. Also, he seems to be mirroring recent theories in quantum physics, making what he's stating parallel to what science might expect us to become once we better understand ourselves. Erickson--by 'empirically verified' I mean to refer to that which is verified through the senses. For me there IS the possibility that sensory experiences exist adequate to verify 'god',but whether any one has had such an experience is not known to me. But I would suggest that if that occurs at all, it is extremely rare, and that the vast majority of belief is the result of conditioning.

You speak of conditioning..so you help my argument that God does exist by a simple means of conditioning. Tit for tat..what need is to evolve into self thinking (yes, I just created a word)...again..quit the party line...original thinking is necessary

You remind me of Bill Clinton when he attempts to define the word..."IS". Are you a lower middle class self made member of the intelligentsia? And trust me, using your word selection may seem to others that you are indeed a BA (barfs), but your verbal smoke screen can easily be deciphered....your comment has no original thought (barfs again) just keep trying...see ya on the flip side sucka.
