  • Overlap the areas? Uh, no. You don't do that.

  • This is very sucky.

  • I agree with vilekyle. If you're trying to earn a living AND get good results you don't apply stain with a brush in this manner. You get it on there as quickly as you can. Carefulness is not a virtue in this stage. I use foam rubber "sponges" which I bandsaw into convenient size applicators from a larger chunk I get from an upholstery shop. On giant projects, or multiple items, I will spray the stain and wipe it off. Have fun!

  • n00b - FAIL. This is called "Expert Village"? First off just dump the stain on there if you want it just needs to be wiped off. Watch some other vids if your lookin for tips. Dont waste too much time with basic staining stage fright. You could dump the entire can over your work on accident and wipe it off and it will be just as good as 10 step ladies advice.

  • I hope nobody follows this video, unless you want your stained piece to look like hell that is.....

  • I just a neophyte when it comes refinishing and staining wood, but I've watched and learned a lot of video tutorial and " how to"....I find .this vide demo very unwitty...

I recommend that you should watch more video tutorial before making and posting your own video because it looks very bad

  • Using a cloth afterwards can be smart too or first use a roller, then a brush then a cloth.

or brush it on, then use a cloth then a light sand before it dry,s, wipe off excess and re apply. Don,t forget to catch the drips on the sides either which was not mentioned here

  • This is stain not paint, poly, etc so just get it on, let it sit and rub it off. Apply more if needed after a light sanding.
