hey how do you like it with the 3.73 posi compared to the 2.19 non posi. i have a 87 regal with comp cam 477 intake 482 exhaust vortec heads 350 trans 2400 stall with a 2.19 posi i want to get a 3.73 or 3.42 gear

i wish i went with a 3.42 or a 3.55 to get a lil lower RPM when cruising the highway.

but 4 now i dont go to far in it, so who cares. i would like an trans with an overdrive!

Its fun as H@LL to drive fast CHEAP cars ;)

I had one just like this. Mine was a 1982 regal it was originally a turbo 3.8. I got it with no motor and put a 350/350 combo in it. Near same setup as you . 3.73 600cfm carb and 350 trans.

O yeah a .490 lift cam is about .522 lift with 1.6 ratio rockers.

the cam is .460/.480 and with the 1.6 rockers it becomes .490/.513 . i wish i had a bit bigger cam because the heads are good to .575 lift .

So what does it run at the track

i have not taken it to the track yet :( so i can only go by what my G-TECH meter said that i ran. They are suposed to be very accurate. The best it ran was 5.9 0-60 2.90 60 FT. 6.664 330FT. 9.68 @ 82.5 MPH in the 1/8 mile. That was on a set of 235/65/15 old street tires. check out my other vids. Thanks for the posts.
