I remember this song when it come out. William Bell had a stronger voice then. I lived in the South and they used to play this song a lot. I was just a kid but I loved it. I used to listen to it with my older sister.
it's a shame the new generation doesn't get this, too... the only black folk on the stage are old enough to have been around in 1961 when this came out... i guess soul music is pretty much going to be a white genre when these guys die!
