He should've just sticked with Anne Boleyn and not be a player back then!! But it was common for kings to play with woman like that because they ruled England or France, ETC. The mistresses needed to listen and do the things the king said and commanded!!
This clip breaks my heart. Not because the miscarriage but because Anne deserved "this Henry" in this scene to be genuine. He might have been a little but he is a snake. Very soon after this, Anne gets bitten big time. "my sweetheart....." MY ASS! I hate Henry!
This is too sweet...I feel for Anne and her loosing her baby... I kinda though that he would continue to shun her after he found out. It warms my heart <3
I love JRM...he is perfect husband material....gorgeous male model material (HUGO).... and he is a wonderful actor <3
Shit, I couldn't help but picture him saying those words to me, I was blushing and giggling, and I almost started tearing up. When he says "Don't weep," I was on the verge of tears! xD; Oh my god..
She had a miscarriage and he was angry but then realized that he hurt her feelings and that's why he went to her bedchamber and that's why she asked if he still loved her she was afraid he would not love her no more. !!! !!!!!!
@nrdcoyne anne boylen had a rare blood disease meaning that any baby that she had after elizabeth died . it is a big deal beacuse a poor innocent woman was put to death beacuse henry wanted another wife just think how would would feel one minute you are his loving queen next you are told that you are nolonger his wife and are to be put to death all because you could not have a son so it is a big deal.
Henry was said to be haunted by Anne until he died. I'd love to know if it was true. But she got her revenge for getting her head lopped off. Her daughter was a great Queen..and it soo would have pissed henry off...lmao
Jonathan Rhys Meyers is A SCALDING HOT PIECE OF ASS!!! the hottest guy ever!!! Yeah he's a good actor, bla bla...look at his eyes, his porcelain skin and his smile...oh god he's so hot hottie hot!!!
@MoThEr04LiFe she had just had her first miscarriage. She was sad about losing her baby. It wasn't until the second miscarriage that Henry had Anne's head lopped off. Poor girl.

@katiemaye98 doomed queen anne kept a lot of the myths about Anne Boleyn, like her extra finger and the mole on her neck. To be honest, that was the book that first got me interested in the Tudors era, years ago, but since then I've learned that a lot of it is just myth and stories that may not necessarily be true.

it's sad to think that maybe, if he wasn't so crazy about having a son, he and anne might have been able to be happy together.. of course, you could say the same for him and catherine too, but i like anne :)
I love this scene - so gentle, so tender, a rare moment between these two, not the usual lust, passion and tearing at each others clothes that seemed to be the trade mark of the relationship between Henry and Anne in seasons one and two - though of course not complaining - far from it, its just rare to see this side to thier relationship - makes a pleasant if rare change -
henmry elegia mucghas esposas por que en realidad no creo que le gustarian las muejres a ver si en la 4 nos animamos a hondar en la realcion con culppeper
They're relationship was built up on lust, and I knowI'm going to get thumbed down for this by all the Anne fans, but it's the truth. And the passion h had for her cooled quite a bit after their mariage, though he still had affection and some passion for her.

He loved in WITH conditions so of course once she couldnt meet one of thee most important, she became expendable. he hated her 4 making him make a fool of himself 4 someone who couldnt give him what he needed most AND promised him she would at that! Both Anne and Henry were hypocrites. I think Anne would have had Henry beheaded too if she had the power he enjoyed. And its no use crying now. What did she expect? It's ok for a common poet as Thomas Wyatt to shag her all the time while still being married but for the King of England she demands he marry her. I think it is this thought that angered Henry the most and led him behead her when news of her affairs began surfacing.
we would all do things that now we dont do just cause we dont have the power. it doest matter what she would have done. it matters what she did and what he did
She did not have affairs, and in history she did not "shag" Thomas Wyatt. I fully believe she did end up loving Henry, because if she didn't then she wouldn't have cared about his affairs as long as she was queen. So I don't think she would have bedheaded him. Plus, it is a historical fact that when she found out about his jousting accident she went into hysterics and fainted (which caused a miscarriage many believe). If she didn't love him, wouldn't she have been happy?
He went through all that trouble to divorce Katharine and marry Anne, and what happens? He just executed her! I think if he divorced Katharine(which wasnt good) then he should just stay with Anne.
This dude is not sweet in the end...but then again there was so much plotting going on to even get Anne within his grasp. I really think this King in real life of course, was far from being all sweet and blah, blah, blah. Although, maybe he was in the beginning?..*shrugs*..who knows..Also, this guy who plays King Henry, DOES not LOOK like the real KING....He is way better looking:)
Oh I know what you meant! And I agree with you! It would be nice and I do believe there are men out there like that..but you have to remember..this is just good acting.
Well I wouldn't hope that most guys be like Henry VIII! Even though on some level I think he did love Anne, he was obsessive and confused...didn't know what he really wanted. That sweetness and chivalry were all ploys to have his way with her. It was all about sexual conquest. Not "courting."
I totally agree... he is a player. He hits it adn leaves it lets be real. He's cool if you like that but if you want something meaningful you should look elsewhere
I know that Henry is one of those bad boy kings, but this scene he doesn't act like it. He like he cares for Anne. A lot! But I can tell that he is just pretending to love her when in fact he loves Jane.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
dick ward or not they´re love was one and only and very real, da only one da king ever had, forget jane she was just an oven, I really hate ppl dat say anne was a bitch i mean look at her she's a goddamn power and beautiful woman! it takes someone as great as her to conquer da king, if it weren,t for her there would not be a protestant religion in england or Elizabeth's glorious reign, i knw da king was a jerk but hey which man WASN,T in those times ?My point is I still belive in their love
No, to Henry *all* of his wives were either attractive baby factorys or nursemaids. There may have been lust and passion with Anne, but it died out once he had her and she couldn't give him what he wanted. Even Catherine warned her of this. Anne may have loved him, but she should have taken the hint at what kind of man he was from his treatment of Catherine and Mary. What made her think he wouldn't treat her and Elizabeth any different?.
I think it's because by the time Anne came to the English court, Henry was already tired of Katherine (having had many mistresses already) and so she didn't see how he loved Katherine, then got tired of her. He was so obsessed, everyone in the court thought he was in love. He was passionate towards her, and she had not seen him that way to anyone else, so she would not have known that he was a self-absorbed user.
This is so sweet...it breaks my heart to think he could be so kind to her now but kill her only five episodes later...
When I was watching the Tudors, I knew all along she was going to die, but I still held on to a false hope that maybe Anne could live while watching this scene.
Yeah i agree. Everytime i see a sweet scene i get hope that maybe anne will live. Henry is such a liar. I really think that henry was a horrible husband every once in a while.
It's like watching the first season, and early second season, when he's so sweet to her and so utterly devoted to her. I found myself wishing that I didn't know how their story was going to end.
Sometimes I think I could have forgiven them if they'd decided to throw away the history books and give those two a happy ending. :-(
The RH factor wasn't discovered until the middle of the last century, and it took alot of study. I am RH negative, my husband is positive,so when I carried our baby, I got a shot in the butt! If Anne suffered from this, she would never again bear a living child after Elizabeth.
In Alison Weir's book about Henry VIII and his wives, she suggested that Anne had her miscarriages after giving birth to Elizabeth because Anne had the Rh negative factor in her blood. After the first birth the mother's body has developed antibodies against Rh positive blood, so any future pregnancies will end in miscarriage or stillbirth if the child is Rh positive which is a majority of blood types. If this is true poor Anne's miscarriages were beyond her control.
it might be true..it is a important info!!as a start thanks for posting it!!!secondly,it might be true but back then , they didn have the neither the knowledge nor the techique t investigate why she had these miscarrieges..but i am sooo sorry for anne because she realy wanrted to give him a son but he was so cruel with her!!!
is this before or after her miscarriage?cause if this is after then he really loved her and I am glad to know that!by the way I dunno anything about the historical facts but a reasonable aspect for the miscarriages is that he didn't have an STD cause this wouldn't kill embryos but he had a genetically transmitted disease.something was wrong with his chromosomes.
Women very plainly had miscarriages back then. Their diet was poor in things such as folic acid, which has been proven to prevent birth defects and miscarriages. And you can't miss the fact that they continued to drink wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages while they were pregnant, especially in Tudor England, where water was deemed unsafe to drink. If a child was born and survived passed 5 years of age, he was lucky. So, not Henry's fault, or even Anne's - just lack of knowledge.
You almost believe that there's actual chemistry and love between them. Brilliant acting there.

He went through all that trouble to divorce Katharine and marry Anne, and what happens? He just executed her! I think if he divorced Katharine(which wasnt good) then he should just stay with Anne.
britneystars2 3 years ago 3
Well here he is still nice with her... "sweetheart"...
Destenation94 3 years ago 5
all I could think about was how much he is liar in this segment. I don't even know the movie adn I know that he is a liar
Be1smaht 3 years ago 5
no, let's not have more guys like that--he had two of his wives beheaded...so much for "sweet"...
emma473 3 years ago 2
There are some out there like that trust me u just have to look harder for them.
lisajleej 3 years ago 2
He looks almost demonic at the end there. Rather fitting for Henry...
Agneshka 3 years ago 9
This dude is not sweet in the end...but then again there was so much plotting going on to even get Anne within his grasp. I really think this King in real life of course, was far from being all sweet and blah, blah, blah. Although, maybe he was in the beginning?..*shrugs*..who knows..Also, this guy who plays King Henry, DOES not LOOK like the real KING....He is way better looking:)
Chocoberrrie 3 years ago 3
Oh I know what you meant! And I agree with you! It would be nice and I do believe there are men out there like that..but you have to remember..this is just good acting.
braverheartedsam 3 years ago 8
Well I wouldn't hope that most guys be like Henry VIII! Even though on some level I think he did love Anne, he was obsessive and confused...didn't know what he really wanted. That sweetness and chivalry were all ploys to have his way with her. It was all about sexual conquest. Not "courting."
braverheartedsam 3 years ago 12
I totally agree... he is a player. He hits it adn leaves it lets be real. He's cool if you like that but if you want something meaningful you should look elsewhere
Be1smaht 3 years ago 2
Lo. He hits it then executes it.
and 2. Like one of the princesses said (one he was trying to make his wife)
I dont have enough heads for Henry to satisfy him.
:-P

the hottest love has the coldest end, henry and annes loves is a great example of this quote
kitty737 3 years ago 5
I know that Henry is one of those bad boy kings, but this scene he doesn't act like it. He like he cares for Anne. A lot! But I can tell that he is just pretending to love her when in fact he loves Jane.
Hailey24Swope 3 years ago 2
i dont think he loves jane.. after he gives her a son he loves her, probably because she is the only one who gives him what he truly wants
allypollyann 3 years ago 12
Yeah right! he always loved Anne, Jane was just a incubator.

dick ward or not they´re love was one and only and very real, da only one da king ever had, forget jane she was just an oven, I really hate ppl dat say anne was a bitch i mean look at her she's a goddamn power and beautiful woman! it takes someone as great as her to conquer da king, if it weren,t for her there would not be a protestant religion in england or Elizabeth's glorious reign, i knw da king was a jerk but hey which man WASN,T in those times ?My point is I still belive in their love
mily3333 3 years ago
No, to Henry *all* of his wives were either attractive baby factorys or nursemaids. There may have been lust and passion with Anne, but it died out once he had her and she couldn't give him what he wanted. Even Catherine warned her of this. Anne may have loved him, but she should have taken the hint at what kind of man he was from his treatment of Catherine and Mary. What made her think he wouldn't treat her and Elizabeth any different?.
Karenjade 3 years ago 13
well i dont agree
mily3333 3 years ago
I think you are right. If Henry had really loved any of his wives, he wouldn't have been so willing to be rid of them.
Concetta20 3 years ago 13
I think it's because by the time Anne came to the English court, Henry was already tired of Katherine (having had many mistresses already) and so she didn't see how he loved Katherine, then got tired of her. He was so obsessed, everyone in the court thought he was in love. He was passionate towards her, and she had not seen him that way to anyone else, so she would not have known that he was a self-absorbed user.

its better to be dath then have a arrogant husbant (king) !!!
bondjasi008 3 years ago
Oh man, if i was anne, i had married thomas wyatt not henry, doesnt matter how much thinks he promist me!!!!!!
bondjasi008 3 years ago 2

i know, it must have sucked. wanting to say no, but knowing that your head could be chopped off for it.
caseylove19 3 years ago 2
What about Henry Percy she was married to henry percy also. HUHH! She probably could have lived an awesome life!
stephandtriplehrule 3 years ago 3
I agree. . .but her fate was to be the mother of Elizabeth I, 'Good Queen Bess'
VioletteRose 3 years ago 3
1. She was never married to Henry Percy.
2. No Anne Boleyn+Henry VIII= no Anglican or Epescoplian churches=no Elizabeth=no British empire=no America.
I say the sacrifice was not in vain.

This is so sweet...it breaks my heart to think he could be so kind to her now but kill her only five episodes later...
When I was watching the Tudors, I knew all along she was going to die, but I still held on to a false hope that maybe Anne could live while watching this scene.
meut14 3 years ago 9
Yeah i agree. Everytime i see a sweet scene i get hope that maybe anne will live. Henry is such a liar. I really think that henry was a horrible husband every once in a while.
stephandtriplehrule 3 years ago 2
i know this scene breaks my heart because he treats her so horrible in the end
fleurgi 3 years ago 2
It's like watching the first season, and early second season, when he's so sweet to her and so utterly devoted to her. I found myself wishing that I didn't know how their story was going to end.
Sometimes I think I could have forgiven them if they'd decided to throw away the history books and give those two a happy ending. :-(

The RH factor wasn't discovered until the middle of the last century, and it took alot of study. I am RH negative, my husband is positive,so when I carried our baby, I got a shot in the butt! If Anne suffered from this, she would never again bear a living child after Elizabeth.
duchessmary 3 years ago 2
"dont weep , dont weep" dont bullshit me !!!
paRtyoVaHeaa 3 years ago 10
In Alison Weir's book about Henry VIII and his wives, she suggested that Anne had her miscarriages after giving birth to Elizabeth because Anne had the Rh negative factor in her blood. After the first birth the mother's body has developed antibodies against Rh positive blood, so any future pregnancies will end in miscarriage or stillbirth if the child is Rh positive which is a majority of blood types. If this is true poor Anne's miscarriages were beyond her control.
estertovah08 3 years ago 3
it might be true..it is a important info!!as a start thanks for posting it!!!secondly,it might be true but back then , they didn have the neither the knowledge nor the techique t investigate why she had these miscarrieges..but i am sooo sorry for anne because she realy wanrted to give him a son but he was so cruel with her!!!
bArBiEeEeEeE1988 3 years ago
is this before or after her miscarriage?cause if this is after then he really loved her and I am glad to know that!by the way I dunno anything about the historical facts but a reasonable aspect for the miscarriages is that he didn't have an STD cause this wouldn't kill embryos but he had a genetically transmitted disease.something was wrong with his chromosomes.
mania1815 3 years ago
Women very plainly had miscarriages back then. Their diet was poor in things such as folic acid, which has been proven to prevent birth defects and miscarriages. And you can't miss the fact that they continued to drink wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages while they were pregnant, especially in Tudor England, where water was deemed unsafe to drink. If a child was born and survived passed 5 years of age, he was lucky. So, not Henry's fault, or even Anne's - just lack of knowledge.
