  • Does anybody have the tabs for the lead guitar?? ... Thank you!

  • can u try its all too much that was really reaaally good by the way

  • I never realized how much the rickenbacker playing/tone influenced the beatles' sound

  • What is the chord that John is playing at 0:31? I've tried for hours to figure it out, but I cannot seem to get it? Can you please help me out and tell me how that chord is played. It would very much be appreciated. Thank you you're great

  • @paulyt5150 It's really just a C major barre chord (with an E note for the bottom root note - 5th string 7th fret/3rd ring finger)

  • beatles were incredible. this is the reason they are still being listened to today.

  • Pobremente con su epiphone john lennon y su rickenbacker

  • sorry mate..you're being WAY to nice to the 325. You know as well as I did John ALWAYS left a pile of sawdust around his feet when he played. And I didn't see ONE shaving coming off yours at all!!!!

    tut tut!!

  • Is lead top one and rhythm bottom?

  • nailed it. just perfect ....

  • Do you own a music store?LOL

  • wow, you really know how to play like them. two thumbs up!!!!

  • Every time I watch this video I tell myself that I'm going to finally watch Harrison's part, but I always end up staring at Lennon's. So aggressive, so beautiful!

  • @CallSignMusic : Same here Lennon used his Ric like a Tommy gun.

  • Brilliant.

  • Very nice!

  • What kind of amp are you using? Vox?

  • יופי של רעיון במיוחד לגיטריסטים

  • one of the best rock'n'roll songs ever !! and you totally rock it !! thanks for the lesson !!

  • Great Job!

  • Simply awesome!!!!!

  • Man how many times have you snapped a string on that ric when you were "playing like Lennon"

  • You should do a video on the bassline

  • thank you!

  • Seriously... it gave me chills. Seeing along with hearing is a game changer. I will FINALLY have that lead to play with my sequence!! Thank you - you rock.

  • SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!

  • Awesome guys!! You have that Epiphone sounding mighty raunchy!! Nice.

  • Rapaz, baixou o espírito dos Beatles, incrível, demais. Vendo como o cara toca dá uma idéia dos que eram os Beatles, a maior banda de todos os tempos.

  • @guitarmanfender it's an Am barred and without your pinky. it looks weird because he uses his thumb to press the 5th fret on the E-string and because he doesn't use his pinky. i don't know the exact name of the chord.

  • What chord is he playing after the A7 at :31 seconds? From what i play, i play C7. But i cant figure out what hes playing. an answer from a veiwer or from mjsokes would be cool.

  • Um...You left your piano on there, Michael.

  • That was cool. This song has stood the test of time. Paul even plays it alot with his band mates more recently. I loved the Beatles more complex and heavily produced music from their later years together but this early stuff just blew me away when I was a young teenager from '64 - '66. I never get tired of hearing any of their songs and these were some of the best... She Loves You, From me to you, I want to hold your hand, All my loving, I saw her standing there, etc.

  • Excellent rendition......especially the lead part. Bravo !!!

  • My Gawd......beyond spectactular!

  • clumsy?..get a life it's got balls man If it rips it rips...I don't get all these analytical left brain people..it's their default mechanism is negativity I can't talk to people like that..I want tto throw them out of windows

  • how good is this..beats having to get lessons of some idiot..Makes me want to go and buy a new guitar cos it all looks playable to me..brilliant

  • hey @mjsokes You can create a lead and send them to me tablature

  • Excellent vid.... THANK YOU..... I give it a 98% ...... and if "George" had been playing a Country Gent it would have been 100%

  • Dude

I don't care if it's right or not

    This is impressive

  • LOL: Rated R indeed.

  • I'm in love with the solo of I saw her standing there

  • @Beatleaga its a very clumsy solo though.

  • @MrLennon231 clumsy? LOL it's cool

  • @Beatleaga yeah, but it still is awesome :D. I am more of a fan of the cant buy me love solo :P

  • @MrLennon231 haha, I'm fan of All my loving solo

  • @Beatleaga long tall sally??

  • @MrLennon231 I'll say my last statement: I like all the solos, including John's (long tall sally)

  • @Beatleaga haha! Cool.

  • You think you could've gotten an even better surf sound with a Tele or a Strat?

  • @MadSpectro7 i don't think so xd

  • @MadSpectro7 No, just no.

  • I love the bass in this song... but your great at this song! Love the GUITAR too!

  • Should've done the amazing bass line

  • great

  • nice cover well done.

  • R for Rad!

  • This helped me a lot. You even had their guitars too. Thanx!

  • Well done, I'm not very good at imitating or playing note for note somebody else 's work, I end up putting too much of myself into it......

  • not bad

  • You guys Rock man! that sounds just like it!

  • @thechicat It's the same guy not two people :P

  • That was a damn fine job!

  • thank you for this very eyeopening vid,you did a spectacular job of demonstrating just how great they were

  • chords?

  • @SketchBoat I can tell you it's in E if that helps.

  • Superior.

  • Spectacularly done! Love the lead guitar on the middle bridge. Nice job!

  • Nice video. Love the Rickenbacker too.

  • why is it Rated R

  • @ninjabastard2 because of how violently john layed

  • @ninjabastard2 For intensively violent John-Lennon-style rhythm.

  • Still don't get why they take the most difficult handles If It are just the simple A7 and E7 chords. Or is it just me?

  • @ilsevdb Hehe I totally know what you mean but I found out that the handles / chords they are playing sound different indeed, much more bluesy!

It's because of missing and / or added notes (fifth, octaves, thirds, septs...)

  • @80sMeavyHetal Yeah i guess you're right! But I just can't find out how they play those chords.. I want to play those chords the same way as they play 'em. Oh well..

  • @ilsevdb To have a much more complete sound of the chord?

  • @ilsevdb because its how the beatles played it and it sounds better

  • @ilsevdb I always thought it's so that no one could truly mimic their playing styles =)

  • even have the same model guitars haha :) ! great job btw!

  • @UltimateMrGuitarist Well Lennon played his 325c58 on this song, and George played his Duo Jet...just sayin

  • @UltimateMrGuitarist Well John played his "blonde" 325c58

  • @MrLennon231 i know lennon used a jetglo Rickenbacker 325, but not on this song, but on a lot of his songs he did. and i know that isnt a jetglo

  • @UltimateMrGuitarist ok, thanks =D

  • great..

  • 4 people are simply stupid

  • Of course playing to the original track helps but you have absolutely NAILED it!! Good work

  • MJ you really showed us how great and innovative George Harrison was. I don't think the Beatles would have been what they are with another lead guitarist

  • Great! The isolated Harrison part demonstrates how musical he was. Thanks!

  • You should inbox me the chords, and maybe the tab for lead if you want to lol :D

  • Where do you get your chords and tabs from

  • Excellent job! Man and that Ricky...it has always been my dream guitar. I'll never own one but it still makes my musical juices flow..thanks!

  • 10/10 :)

  • Paul and Ringo would like to chat with you sometime.

  • is that you john and george?

  • great stuff!!!!!!

  • This is just astounding. Im guessing you figured this out by ear? The main problem i have with learning Beatles songs is that there isn't really any tab and i don't quite have the ear to figure it out. But you do so major props!

  • all beatles fans are proud

  • Rated R. for Rockin Awesome :D

  • Fantastic! Great split screen as well. Very nice! Looking forward to checking out the rest of your videos!

  • awesome

  • I see Gordon from Thomas the Tank Engine, a model of the DeLorean from Back to the Future, a baseball, and some of the best guitar playing on youtube. Good times.

  • Excellent playing man! By the way, is that Gordon from Thomas the Tank Engine I see in the background? :P

  • attack

  • I can only hear the casino

  • @rockyjnr10

your left speaker must be broken

  • Good set up

  • Brilliant

  • this is how i play rhythm guitar too.

  • wow........ *_*

  • The background Beatle song could sound lower and we would better enjoy your performance.

  • 3 rolling stones's fans

  • I just came back from Vegas and saw the Fab 4 perform. (they don't call themselves that in their show) They were pretty good for a tribute band but after seeing and hearing this video a few dozen times first I was not so impressed with the lead guitarist. I intensely watched him playing the lead to this song knowing all the while just how it should be done thanks to mjsokes, but he just didn't have it right. Not even close. The nuance of perfection does indeed make a difference.

  • I don't know anybody that rock that rhythm part any harder...it's so great to see these guitar parts played CORRECTLY!! you rule my man

  • do u have tabs for the lead??

  • MJ I saw a lot of videos from you, and after this you became my idol.

  • what kind of casino do you use in this video, it's a chinese, korean, japanese, etilist or is an old caisno form teh 60s? please answer, because its sound is awesome!!

  • @indotravis i think it's a korean model

  • @indotravis Im almost certain that this isn't a vintage model due to the tailpiece and finish. To me from the sound it seems elitist. But to put a sticker on 1? That makes me think other wise the amp is a big part of things

  • You are genius....

  • Fucking great! One of my favorites from their 1st era!

  • Comment removed

  • most excellent

  • how much did ou pay for that rickenbacker?

  • COOLEST COVER IN ALL THE INTERNET!!

    Tabs or chords?

  • You are the fucking man!

  • Marvellous mj, and you don't seem to have got any hate mail this time (unlike for 'And Your Bird Can Sing). You're right about live versions not necessarily reflecting a studio performance.

  • Wow that was just so unbelievably cool

  • Inspiring! For early 1963 the spiky guitar sounds and attack are extremely aggressive. Proto-punk! Love it.

  • hey, good vid, can u tell me how u are multitracking. I want to create my own songs from scratch but i dont know how to go about recording myself, thanks

  • すごいです!弾き方までよく研究していらっしゃるんですね!!

  • lol nice rating. and great video !

  • what is the second chord you play

  • this is bloodily bloodie excellent my good man blub blub blub

  • that was too clean man, you gotta teach me that solo man.

  • Hey MJ, Could you please tell me what strings u are using on your Epi Casino?

    - Joe

  • Even to the way you move your right hand

  • Lennon rhythm is perfect, literally perfect :-)

  • That was killer, man.

  • You have to be the best on YouTube that I've ever seen. Thank you for your videos.

  • you should do guita lessons =) but really good cover tho the best ive seen =)

  • Tooooootally cool, great job! Oh, and about the strings, have you tried WYRES?

I would recommend them, they have a nice feel to them. Kinda' expensive, though.

  • Again, thanks for coming back.

  • Wonderful! Masterful!

  • Excelente

  • Hey first off your videos are great! The only thing that is bad is that they are too short!

Anyways, I want to play Georges part a lot of Beatles songs and I try learning by ear and it works. The problem is that a lot of times it is hard to hear the lead parts especially Georges little riffs in I saw her standing there. My question is how do you learn to Georges parts? By ear? Tabs?

Can you give me some pointer on how I could learn his parts like you do?

  • @adamdude HI - you are doing it right already by using your ears. Then to help you along get some good tabs. The best book Ive seen which I have myself is called The Beatles Complete scores. Its quite expensive but if youre a big Beatles fan and want to get their licks off nice and quick this is really helpful. Check my youtube site out for a bit of Beatles and blues. Cheers

  • How come it has been so long since he has made a video?

  • I can't describe how awesome this is!!!

  • tabs, please?

  • Amazing videos and performance. Your guitars are beautiful. What programs did you use to make the videos? Also, did you use an audio interface to record the audio?

  • hey mj why do you do that wrist flicking thing on the rick? for example at 2:29

  • @eveningside

its an upstroke, and it looks fucking awesome as hell if you do it like that xD

  • Great playing man.. Love it :) And epic description, btw. rofl

  • Yoko disliked this video.

  • Nice job!

  • Its all in the wrist, eh MJ?

  • @gdholmfirth indeed

  • can i borrow your rick mj?

  • when you play chords do you play all 6 strings?

  • sarebbe stupendo se tu facessi una cover di roll over beethoven

  • Hey Mj, whats the chord at 0:30 Cant figure it out.

  • hey i got a question wat effects did john and george use during the early days i know they used the fuzzface but wat else

  • The C chord rymes so well. God bless the Beatles

  • awesome !

  • i play it better

  • @thechuchy66 prove it
