  • seems to be no different to the US 122 MK2

  • ps para mi si me sirvió en windows 7 y la estoy utilizando gente

  • @makinghitz111 I borrowed this thing from a friend.. OMG i'm glad I didn't buy this piece of shit... Doesn't work at all on a windows 7 64bit computer.. And wth tascam... If you want to download the newest driver you end up downloading the driver for the mkII not 122L. I recommend saving money for a device that uses firewire

  • Following the "TOTALLY USELESS" 122L, Tascam proudly the even bigger waste of money the TaSCAM whatever!

  • @makinghitz111 Google the drivers for it, type in Tascam US122L drivers ... and you should find the drivers that will enable it to run on windows 7

  • @makinghitz111 Yeah ! please reply this question.

  • dude cuz im noob someone tell me... can this work as a sound distortion for guitar and you get some great sound out of it if you link guitar with ur pc? and can all guitars be linked with it? plz someone tell me!

  • @guruvag You can plug your guitar in through the line input which he did say. As for the sound would depend if it has any effects that come with it, I don't know I haven't got one, but you can find effects and plugins to use with Cubase anywhere on the internet.

  • how does it differ from the mkii version?

  • Can you hook these up to any music software, Desktop monitors and turntables if not what other interfaces are there?

  • i will comment all your vids + SUb + add + box if u Help me with Tascam Audio Interface problem! Just add me!

  • i cant get it to work with my djm 800... im a retard lol....

  • Dose it have zero latency? I dont want latency at all! Lets say i'm using a usb midi cable, will it take off all the latency?

  • @Simbanyamfukudza01 you'll never get 0 latency

  • We got this at our school, for the VET Music Industry class. This interface gives you some great sounds from playback to recording. The crap part about this is when you plug in your headphones in the jack input. And it won't let any sounds come threw the monitors/speakers. Has anyone experience this issue?

  • like he says.

  • mann i had windows xp and this worked perfectly. but my computer broke than i updated to windows 7 (same computer) but now when i try to get on acoustica mixcraft (recording software) it doesn't let me record. my tascam works and all but i guess i need a driver for windows 7. nothing brokenn idkk is up but i this shit sucks

  • Great product.... I have owned this for almost a year now and recorded almost 200 songs onto my computer using garage band. The proper driver is used and it records exceptional quality with just me playing my guitar and singing. Just click on Input Source in the garageband window and select the US-122L. Very easy to use.

  • @lizardo7777777 what is it for, what does it do?

    im anoob

    thanks

  • If you have Vista 64 bit DON'T BUY THIS!!! It doesn't work on my computer at all. Your better off getting a M audio fast track 2 like I did.

  • Im about to buy this. Is it possible to record my guitar directly into it and add effects with garage band or something? And could I mic my drums or amp and whatnot into something like Audacity on my pc?

  • Hey, I Was Wondering If I Can Record My E-Drums With This ? I Dont Know How But Something Along The Lines Of Midi To Midi From E-Drums To Tascam Then Midi To Usb From Tascam To Laptop ? Also What Software Should I Use To Record ? Thanks

  • @DanDrummer01 hi, I have my e drummer on the computer using cakewalk. then record audio into it. that is the easiest and best way to do it.

  • hey i'm just wondering if this can somehow allow my guitar to access software instruments in garage band? Or do I need a guitar to midi converter for this?

  • Yes, it has a 1/8" jack with high gain capability for directly plugging instruments without the need for an amp. Garageband will see it as a input then from there you can record and add effects.

  • Will I get noticeable latency when playing this connected to a v-drum? (using something like superior drummer 2.0)

  • Mostly depends on your computer. If you have noticed latency with other usb interfaces or your machine doesn't have usb 2.0 then you will see latency but most likely you won't.

  • will this work with LOGIC EXPRESS 9?

  • its an interface, so i dont see why it wouldnt. Interfaces are basically like your line in on the back of your computer, they just sound way better :D

  • yes it will bro.. a friend of mine uses a this with a mac.. even a presonus will work with it.

  • yes, i got it! the new driver is now available

  • Yes, it will work with any mac software. USB and firewire interfaces are handled by the OS not the software itself so this would work with Logic, Soundtrack, Garageband, and any other recording software.

  • @yunggrizzo yep

  • For some reason I can't get the delay between when I play and what I hear to work, I slide it all the way over to computer to hear my "processed" signal and play along with other tracks but the "processed" signal sounds in synch but records slightly off synch, so i take it only a dry signal will not produce the delay, i have not had this problem with PCI nor my firewire interface, so my guess maybe usb 2.0 bandwith or something?

  • Its just the lag between the sound comming from the speakers and the recording from the interface, I just drag the clips to line up when that happens, everything lines up, but the tracks are a bit off center of eachother.

  • usb is fairly slow, Firewire is faster than usb, and usb 2.0 is faster than both, but firewire should be fast enough to record in real time.

  • USB 2.0 is 480 mbits/sec Firewire can be 800 or 400 depending on the device. And firewire is on its own bus and doesn't effect processor speed like USB so in practice Firewire will be faster.

  • hey. im having problems with the tascam us122L. the device doesnt read that any sound is trying to be put through. i dont get any visual wave indicating that it is reading any sound that i put in.. everything is plugged in the right way. im using a condenser and have the phantom power turned on.. but still no sound at all... it plays back other sounds just fine (eg windows media, itunes etc) but it wont even read whatever sound that i try and put into it... help please

  • i need serious help.. i got the tascam 144 i connected everything to it but i cant record my vocals i can hear everything tru the interface butI CANT RECORD MY VOCALS i am using the perception 220 akg ...but everytime i hit record on cubase all see is a strait line without no vocals wat do i do??

  • ok so i just bought this and when i tryed to install it, it said that installation failed. what should i do?

  • muse

did you follow the prompt to plug in the interface during installation?

mine will fail if that is not followed,

I start the driver with it unplugged, it asks to plug it in, and then remove, then it reboots

  • Hello everybody, I have a little problem with this soundcard, I installed drivers (vista 64 bit) I linked it by usb to the pc, than I linked my sub by an Y link to the soundcard and there is no sound comming out :/

  • i have the same problem, I installed everything and hooked it up to my pc and its not giving me anysound....

  • Actualy I don't have this problem anymore. I THOUGHT I had a problem because I tested the sound with my songs on windows media player, after I realized that it's a problem with the media player lol. You should try one thing. Go to control pannel, than chose "Sound" on your list you should have your "tascam speakers" so right click on it and click on "put it as default" something like that. Than, up there you have "recording" (with cables) Chose the tascam cable and do the same as with speakers

  • you have to change it to your main sound controler!! all your sond out of the program is going to come out of the tascam not your computers sound card

  • does the us-122l work with "Audacity" ??

  • If you chose the tascam as a principal soundcard it will work with everything ;)

  • shame it doesn't work good with snow leopard!

not with iTunes and QuickTime and VLC.

  • I have gon in to Prefs and Output routing mode and there only seems to be Left 1 and left 2 and no phono out in Monitor

PHONES jack (stereo 1/4" phone) This

    is a headphone output jack.

    NOTE

If you connect headphones to this jack,

no signal will be output from the LINE

    OUT jacks.??????????????????????

  • I Just purchased this item and it has been giving me good results... i will put up a song that i recorded with it!! and im using cubase!

  • heey, I also purchased this item, but I have a problem.

When I am recording something I can only hear the recorded guitar trough my headphones witch I putt in the' phones' entrance. How can I get the sound straight away trough my pc sound system?

  • you need t set your output. your output is probobly set on the us-12. ive had problems with that in the past. just try to find something that has us 122 as input and your pc sound system as output. if you cant find anything, download asio4all. in asio4all you set your input and output like you desire, and on cubase you choose asio4all as input AND ouput. hope this helps.

  • thank you it works now, (:

  • Would you please help me in order I can get my Tascam to work properly ?

I don't know how to set up this thing.

    Manual is not clear enough

  • I don't have any problems with this i get professional sound through it and you can't record it directly to myspace or youtube, etc.. but if you run it through an editing program and make it an mp3 file you'll hopefully find good results.. hope this helped

  • I have a computer mic that I really like using, it has a 1/8 input. Would this mic work with the XLR mic inputs with an adapter? If it does I'm buying the Tascam.

  • that would work if you can get an adaptor you can also buy a 1/8' stereo to 1/4' jack and this would work because it also has 2 1/4' inputs for mic and one can of the two can also be used for guitar. when i record vocals however i use a large diagram condensor mic and this supplies 48v phantom power so w/e route you go should work with this, you're 1/8' jack could actually probably work just as well directly into your computers soundcard if it was made for computers, hope this helped!

  • im returning this peice of shit it... every 1 hates it and has problems with it ffs!

  • @anthonyguitar1591 I think it works fine for me, the quality is alright had it for 3 years works great in logic :)

  • how do i get this to work on mixcraft 4?????

  • ...anyone ever think of a digital multitrack recorder you can actually upload by usb to youtube, myspace, and any and all others with, like with a net sharing cam like the sony nsc gc1, except with input jacks? ...hello?

  • Witch audio interface is better? Tascam US-122L or M-Audio Fast Track Pro?

  • im trying to record on adobe audition but its only recording on the left side not the right, what do i do?

  • never used this equipment before, how do I get the mic to work?

  • tascam 122 us l is the best soundcard that i every seen :d

  • u have to use only de external souncard u bought us _122 ,that means if yuh dont disactivate de standard sound card from ur own pc,de sound will come out tru one speaker.hopefull thats what u are looking for

  • is this better then the M-aduio pro

  • I just bought it and installed it to windows vista, I am only getting recordings that work in 1 speaker..even when played thru different stereo..can anyone help?

  • i'v de same prblem,az urs dude..

  • Yea same here, but, I went around it by doubling the track in the editor and panning each to one side of the stereo.

Now, I wanna know what kinda headphones I can plug in, cause mine doesn't fit :(

  • can you hook your microphone up to this and then hook this up to the computer to recorder.......

  • Yes...that is what it is designed to do....you can also use condenser mics and 1/4 inputs. It works well...I have older us122.

  • i have used my us 122 for 5 years, first as my interface and after i got a digi 001 i have still used it as my sound device.. this video was listened to on a us 122.all the videos i've posted were on wmm with it a the sound device! . great product, it has worked flawlessly.. i do reccomend disabling ALL regular sound cards if you want to use it..

  • omg... how do i disable the sound cards in my pc??

  • disable it in the bios,

  • thanks alot it worked!

  • awesome, no more blue screen

  • Also if you wish to hear internet & Itunes thru the unit, you need to select Tascam as default audio device which is changed in the control panel.

  • Im not sure if vista is the same, Im running Windows XP, go to Start, then All Programs, hover over fruity loops, if this gives you ASIO options click to open and make sure Tascam boxes are checked, let me know if this helps.

  • i just bought a tascam us-144 n im sure the installation is pretty much the same

i have my speakers connected to the interface but i cant get no aduio from my computer (internet itunes etc)

why is this happenin? any suggestions on what should i do?

  • Have you checked the ASIO boxes to read Tascam US-122 / 144 in what ever software you are running, this would prevent audio signals being sent to the Tascam, this reply refers to a couple of questions below, hope this helps.

  • where are the asio boxes? i have looked everywhere, i have fruity loops 8 xxl edition, and windows vista home premium

  • i bought one i of these i love it but i am haveing like a half of second delay when i record wat can i do ?

  • do i need a midi audio interface if i have a korg d1200...?it`s a digitqal recorder with midi

  • Does anyone know what configurations you have to do with logic pro 8 or the tascam us 122. software is installed and shows on logic midi window but nothing I do gets the sounds through the computer. Or if anyone knows what book the answers would be in for a Mac. Looked through the manuals but thats really for logic by itself and can not help with every midi interface out there.

  • my MXL 990 mic I have is configured threw us _ 122 tascam midi interface, but when I record with it on logic pro 8 the mic captures my back round in my room I record in. i'm trying to figure out how can i record just my voice and eleminate the backround and other sounds. mind you I record in a quiet space.

  • can it do pre listening for mixing?

  • does usb interface mean you can plug it up to your computer... how much does that cost?

  • hey does this have phantom power?

  • 2 XLR mic inputs with phantom power
