It seems like the sound is messed up in all of these live videos with Duvall. Certainly they didn't have his vocals turned up this loud in the mix during the actual performances. It's very out of balance. They don't have him nearly this loud on the album...

i actually like this version. I know it may be sort of "cheating", you know, usin clean vocals instead of the screaming, i mean during the chorus (like the studio version) but it fits better. It´s quite difficult to be screaming during all the show like Layne... not bein Layne, and, as sure you know, it´s a bit sad to see William struggle with the high notes and screams, so i think this could be a good way of singing some of the old songs :-)

Williams is a good singer but will never be able to sing Old Alice in Chains songs that well. Layne was great because he had the emotions for these songs. This song was extremely personal for him and what he did was more than just sing it. He lived it. Williams will never be able to do that.

Big props to William Duvall. He is a great singer, and the songs pretty much sound the same with his voice. To all the "haters", you have to remember that NO singer is ever going to fill the shoes of the original. I don't care what band it is. You could have the brilliant Eddie Vedder singing in Layne's place and it still wouldn't be the same. I miss Layne, but at least AIC has moved on and is still rocking. If they never got back together, then the same people would be shouting for a reunion.
