what muffler are you running on this i have a bisson pitts style on mine with 2 outlets i think im going to have to seal one of them up in order to keep enough back preasure.....i have not maiden it i was thinking about puting a dle20 on it..... the super tigre doesnt seem to be dependable enough.... but please give me your thoughts or your needle valve setings.... btw i have vids on my channel please check them out thanks
The Stearman is the most fun a man can have at the field without getting arrested.
I used to walk on water.... until I realized that it was much more fun sitting in the boat ... drinking beer
Life should NOT be a trip to the grave with the idea of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, RC transmiter in one hand, a beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride."
No criticism from me. This was a pleasant show with ballsy flying. Maybe some other guy knows where there is some scale air to fly in. Indoors, maybe.
In my youth a lifetime ago I was formally trained in College on aircraft design and maintenance, hold several engineers licences on Hughes and Bell Helicopters.
Scale flying is boring. These are toys, nothing scale about it, just a toy to have fun with, more power = more fun at the field.
The video makes the plane look like it's flying faster that it really was, as the video is taken with a still camera that could take video at only 10 frames per sec.
A G2300 from Super Tiger, turning a 17 X 7 propeller at 9300 RPM, pulling 13.5 pounds of thrust. The Stearman weight in at 15.25 pounds with full fuel and smoke oil.

You need to watch real planes fly once in awhile and get some throttle management.
