This map is inaccurate it confuses the spread of religion and ruling powers. India never became predominalty Muslim even though Moghul power held sway for a time. It also neglects the fact that Buddhism also dominated India for a period of time.
Interesting map... not completely accurate. Most religious studies scholars, cultural sociologists and anthropologists will find this far too general because it only covers contemporary religions. Christianity did make it to southern India before reaching Rome. Hinduism and Buddhism are western terms. The existence of the Vedas predates the birth of Krishna. Several religions and religious traditions preceded the contemporary ones and influenced their development. That's only a start...
I agree with the previous comment. This is not accurate because it ignores a lot of religions. More importantly, it ignores the egyptian god and the astro-theological egyptian religion. You cannot make an accurate religion history map, because we simply dont know how exactly these religions/cults originated.
Abraham came from the land east of the Indus river valley. The people of his land were Hindi. Pronounced accordingly, his name was "Ah-BRAHMIN," meaning "of Brahmin." Abraham was therefore a devote of Brahmin; the "supreme god of all creation."
HInduism associates 2 Gods with Brahmin. The first is "Aum." Aum is the physical manifestation of Brahmin, who is seen and heard. (Jesus?) -The other is "Shiva," the feminine spirit of wisdom. In Proverbs 8, wisdom is a "she."
This historical picture ignores a lot of religions that existed in the past such as the gods of egypt, zoroastrianism, gods of ancient greece and rome etc.but yes an accurate portrayal of the histories of existing major religions.good job!
dear readers you all should read bagavat purana or srimad bagabatam an ancient text that narrates ancient histories about men and religion even 2.000,000 years old histories please read ac baktyvedanta swami,s books love and peace to all races and religions hare krishna

@GrandmasterTigerfist Yep, the foundations of the Hindu religion can be linked all the way back to the polytheism of the Proto Indo-European peoples.
