Sailor Moon anime/manga was made for teenagers, really. So was the Sailor V anime. The Japanese make cartoons for both children and adults and teens, and this was a teenagers/adults anime. Obviously, there exist young children's anime, and adult-only works, serious discretion is obviously correct when you're introducing them into new countries. Most people don't really have too much issue with gays or blacks (maybe). *shrug* Some of the ignorance out there is amazing, though.

This would be made of win if toei made a sailor v anime, to be sort of a post-ending prequel to the awesome anime they made of Takeuchi-san's awesome manga. There are differences between the two versions but they are both awesome. *throws chalk at DiC and, if it's not their fault, all the whiners who DEMANDED they censor it* Yes, the original was better, the American version seems good if you're a little kid, but after seeing the original was better, IF dubbed, it needs to be exact translation.
