you guys are pretty skiddish.. that bear was gone the second he lied eyes on you as most bears do, they dont want contact with humans and usually run off just by the scent of humans, ask any bear hunter how hard it can be sometimes to get close to a bear, and if that bear was charging you guys then he wouldent have stopped and turned 180 degrees as soon as he came out on the road and spotted ya.. (those multiple charges btw was just replays with different zoom, hence the poor pic quality) lol
I live in Europe. Since when i was kid i had to walk by food in the morning to school through woods where use to live bears. I've spotted it once when i was going home when it was crossing the rode :) They never attack if they are not in danger and if you don't disturb their peace or territory. Most dangerous are their mothers when they have cubs. They are beautiful animals. I always say less hunters and more wild bears, wolves and lynxes

@huntwithairguns look i am not weapon expert so i cant tell the cartridge of the revolver but a nine mm bullet no it wouldn't kill a bear it would only make it charge you. now a 44 mag would kill it but still in this distance you have to aim for the head i wouldn't like to get close to this thing.
@gtpind A 9mm is a rimless cartridge therefore it is not commonly used in a revolver, due to the way a revolver extracts the cartridge. A 9mm would still stop a black bear though, I wouldn't trust it on a grizzly bear.

In Finland you may not use a handgun if bear attacks. You should use a cell phone and call the authorities to come to rescue you. And tell the bear to halt the attack until aid arrives.

@huntwithairguns look i am not weapon expert so i cant tell the cartridge of the revolver but a nine mm bullet no it wouldn't kill a bear it would only make it charge you. now a 44 mag would kill it but still in this distance you have to aim for the head i wouldn't like to get close to this thing.

@gtpind A 9mm is a rimless cartridge therefore it is not commonly used in a revolver, due to the way a revolver extracts the cartridge. A 9mm would still stop a black bear though, I wouldn't trust it on a grizzly bear.

@loopnerful .44 has about 1200 lbs of muzzle energy, while a .500 has about 2500 lbs of muzzle energy. People kill bears with a .357 all the time so why wouldn't a .44 kill a bear? My guide was beside me with a .338 and never fired. I suggest you LEARN your weapons BOY and also get an education to express yourself without the CHEAP 4 letter words that PUNKS are always so quick to throw out. My one shot from my 50 cal hand gun split his skull open and the bullet came out in his lower chest.
