@slpplexi1969 There's a parody clip at the beginning of the rainbow bridge film of that guy giving a speech and hendrix assassinating him...not sure why its in this though
That is just amazing. I don't think another guitar player will exist where the music flows just so effortlessly. Also, I love the playing of the rhythm and the melody at the same time. No one better than Hendrix (although we need people to come close. Those who come close enough are called demi-gods).
Does anyone think that Dave Gilmour stole some grooves for Echoes from this piece? Starting around :50 definitely sounds like he lifted the progression and rhythm.
I absolutely am still blown away. I haven't taken drugs in decades! It was the man and his music! Kick ass Jimi! Oh yeah! "and if I don't see ya no more on this world, I 'll meet you on the next one!"
Does ANYONE know why he named this song Villanova Junction ? I had once heard it was a reference made to Vietnam War time and a location over there. Been waiting 40 years for this answer. If you can tell me please email me: texasmusic@ymail.com
Hendrix had a rare knack of making almost anything he played sound totally profound and listenable; even outtakes by Jimi, not all but most, are exciting to listen to. This is another slightly off-the-wall piece by Jimi bursting with ideas.
I can't fukin believe the guy below me ic complaining this is fukin great I thought he only done this at Woodstock or that was the only recorded version thanks man
Well what's not to like about this video?! But I have to say I absolutely love the wall of Marshall's behind him. In the day and age of monitors I miss the "Wall Of Sound" that you get from stacking speakers under a really great amp head. Nothing in between you and the audience! I was not old enough to see Hendrix live but I've seen plenty of concerts before monitors came around and the "Experience" Lol is better at least to my ears. You can hear all the nuances of a great guitar player better.
This is very unfocused and raw...Which is what I love about it. Sounds like something that should have been played at the Isle of Wight...There will never be another Jimi.
@hendrixxx360 Is that what is going on here? I thought it wasn't synced right but even if it was his hand motions dont match up with some of the notes he's playing. Nice to know

gotta say our guitarplayer/singer in Pluto's Orbit tries to show his Jimi influence in our song "eye to eye" but Jimi Hendrix will always be number 1

tonyhawksacriminal 8 months ago
@tonyhawksacriminal guess you didnt read the description i left, The audio is the overdubbed-drums source, the only
one available, so the drums are out of sync a bit.
It's hardly noticeable though. Hope you all enjoy it.
