  • Thank you sand trap I made the best possible side as possible IMO and won my local 2-0 everyone in top 8 and it came from the Side and the ease, no homo your voice played a big part game 2 and 3 wanted to truly thank you and hope you keep it up

  • @17klop Thanks a lot! Much appreciated :).

  • nice video! keep up the good work :)

  • @joshcasso Thanks! I'll try :).

  • skyrim in the background lol

  • @azure9321 Sue me -.-.

  • what about a disscussion on priority? i know there are alot of ppl that have a problem with it

  • @ganger420 Hmmm...if I ever want to focus on rulings or game mechanics, then maybe I can talk about this topic. I'd rather focus on strategy for right now, though. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • Regionals tomorrow. Thanks for the side deck help

  • @act15ben No problem, and good luck! :)

  • @TheSandTrap Thanks bro! Subscribe and don't forget to check my videos :)

  • just like black horn of heaven..its becoming common now for people not to main solemn warnings like they used too. Ive found solemn warning is becoming a dead draw a lot of the time and lp are becoming really important on protecting in the metagame this format.

  • @RavenMaster22 While I can't say I agree completely with that statement, there are match-ups where I side out Solemn Warning.

  • @TheSandTrap

what match ups do you side out warnign?

  • @SenorSupremo Can't say. Local players may be watching -.-;;;.

  • @TheSandTrap well can you pm me your answer. because i cant think of any deck i side out warning for

  • @SenorSupremo I can't...they might...get to you...*looks around crazily*

  • Most top tier decks main trap dustshoot...what if you lose the die roll and have to go second??? lol i guess thats just luck of the draw right?

  • @RavenMaster22 No, it's not just luck of the draw. Like I explained in the video, whether you take out Trap Dustshoot or not depends on what deck your opponent is playing, too. Against the majority of decks in the meta, players may feel that there's more decks that keep cards in their hand versus cards on the field, and therefore it's a commonly taken risk to maindeck Trap Dustshoot.

  • When the music came in at the end I was positive I had gone insane. I thought skyrim was calling to me. I thought I was dovahkiin. I thought I had an excuse to skip class. And then the video ended and I realized it wasn't in my head. Curses.

  • @PcaKestheaod I'm sorry I ruined your desire to skip class and be a delinquent, lol.

  • @TheSandTrap You made me prof proud haha

  • @PcaKestheaod Prof?

  • @TheSandTrap Professor.

  • @PcaKestheaod Oic.

  • i usually dont side in my vanitys fiend if i go 2nd against plants. it can then be dead if i dont get the extra turn.

  • @TeamJewgioh Good example! But hey, not knowing what deck you're running when making that decision leaves us in the dark about whether that's the best move or not. For example, I bet a Monarch deck with Soul Exchanges would love to open with Vanity's Fiend going 2nd ;).

  • God evan vargas is fuckin champ

  • Everyone who plays this game would benefit from watching these videos. Keep up the good work!

  • @teamepic3 Thanks, I wil!

  • Great analysis once again... I have been using shard of greed lately, but only in the 1st duel, letting me know if my opponent plays a lot of spell/trap removal... Then game 2, I side into compulsory if they're aggressive and/or I'm going 1st or if they're graveyard dependent, or smashing if they're defensive and/or I'm going 2nd... love the "next level" competitive thought process you provide, just makes us all better duelists....

  • @justGSquared Hopefully! A little bit at a time can go a long ways. Good example, btw!

  • If there's ever a format where blackwings are good again, Sirocco will be a pro sidedeck. It destroys TKRO right now, but is only good win BW.

  • good info and good video quality now I can see your ugliness much more clearly!!!

  • @darthmarth333 That's hurtful. *cries*

  • dont side in cydras when going first!

  • @stun279 While I don't think it's that black and white, siding into Cyber Dragon should take into consideration whether you're going first or not indeed!

  • @TheSandTrap true, ill probably keep it if i play against karakuris or machinas

  • @stun279 Me too :).

  • you going to eat your cornbread (>~<)

  • @joshuadangersumner Oh my, yes.

  • Last format when I was playing GK's I would side out royal tribute when playing vs decks that keep low hand count when going 2nd.

  • @enagy5912 Good thinking! This is exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about.

  • what good is a smashing against a laggia if he has 1+ lances set?

  • @The1CelticTiger

Well, that's only in about 39% cases, but still, then u have just 1600 monster to run over.

In most cases it won't be that simple, but we're talking about theory here.

  • @JohnnyBilic that scenario is so easily and likely to occur, 9/10 of the time a rabbit deck will summon a laggia first, and then set x amount of backrow (3+), 1 of which is more than liekly to be a lance, and that's all that's required for that scenario to happen

  • @The1CelticTiger Smashing is definitely better than Black Horn in that situation soo...

  • @ZoroSeerus i've thought about siding in triple divine wrath against rabbit, since they have no out to it and it can stop rabbit straight off, or once they've summoned an xyz, you can topdeck it and use it when you're ready; trigger one of dolkka/laggia's effects, chain divine wrath, just because it's so versatile against that deck is what makes it realistic

  • @The1CelticTiger First, we don't know how many Lances will be there. If he doesn't Lance, then he'll have to negate the Smashing Ground. Second, even if he does have the Lance, now he'll be force to react to non-threats such as TKR because his monster's ATK is reduced to 1600.

  • @TheSandTrap i hear ya, but what about the other 2+ backrow, he would most likely have a d-prison or a bottomless to easily take care of thunderking :p, so i think divine wrath and doomcal (for going first) is the best out to dino rabbit,

didn't mean to sound smart btw in my first comment :p

  • @The1CelticTiger lol, you can't say that they'll have a BTH for TKR as an argument against my example but then ignore the possibility of BTH for DCK in your example. You're not looking at how dead TKR was in that situation until Smashing Ground forced a Lance out and TKR could force a reaction which leaves one less answer to one of your future plays.

  • @TheSandTrap I didn't ignore BTH in my example, my example was for the scenario where you go first, and start with DCK, to open with him to negate a rabbit play, but i've since decided to go with triple fossil dyna as a side for rabbit,

basically what i'm getting at is; in your answer to a laggia, you -2 from 2 specific cards, in my answer to a laggia you -2 but only 1 card is specific-divine wrath-the other card being a cost, but it's a matter of preferance at the end of the day

  • @The1CelticTiger If you get to go first with DCK, then I get to go first with TKR, lol. And what you're getting at is relying on the opponent always having a Forbidden Lance and you having to run a Divine Wrath :(.

  • @TheSandTrap No, with the divine wrath scenario (scenario being it being run in the deck/side deck) there's no other cards required, i just thought i'd mention it's a more ideal out to rabbit exceeds than a smashing

  • @The1CelticTiger Divine Wrath requires a discard which turns me off greatly. Can't really say it's more "ideal" when you're comparing a two-card investment vs one, as the worthiness of such a trade-off depends on many factors.

  • @TheSandTrap well yea but your method requires two cards aswell...

anyway it's pointless to continue arguing over this it's not really constructive anymore it's come down to preference and we can't change the other's preference, either way i'm not siding any divine wraths atm, but i am siding 1 smashing, simply because it contributes towards rabbit aswell as anti meta, but thanks for sharing your thoughts on the topic anyway

  • When I see your video in my feed, I jizz a little...

  • Whenever i see that you've posted a new video, I jizz a little...

    Are you okay with this?

  • @iiResolutioNii Me, yes. My wife? No.

  • LOL yes i wont to play you and be the frist on video

  • @mark3561982 O.o?

  • lmfao

god damn i love me some cornbread.

first dialogue in the video + knowledge of the game nets you another sub. xD

i would definitely find this series of videos helpful if you continue it.

  • @Excreated Sweet! You've made the right choice by subscribing :).

  • Something I've been doing lately is siding out veiler and one or two copies of maxxc against agents (I play plants) when I go first. Going second, I keep them in to stop a first turn Venus, but going first I found that my TKRs and trap lineup stopped the Venus play anyways. Siding out my hand traps in that situation gives me more playable cards and more outs to a possible kristya/hyperion play.

Just something that works for me. I just find it nice to not have a clumped hand of veiler and maxxc

  • @DrRobotFish That's good that you're thinking that way, very nice!

  • Good poop man! Very good poop

  • @The93bobz I'm glad it was a good poop.

  • @TheSandTrap keep it up!!! your videos are the poop!

  • I CAN SEE YOUR PORES N SHIT

  • wow, video quality skyrocketed

  • @Slashtap3 420p, son!

  • Example of mine:

    Going first against plants: D.Fissure.

    Going second: Soul Release.

    Something like that.

  • @ChroahCresta That's a good start, but I don't think Soul Release is good for this example (as it kinda sucks when compared to other cards).

  • hey sand trap could you maybe talk a little bit about ratios while side decking. like i mean when you side you should try to side out monsters for monsters spells for spells and traps for traps but thats not possible... could you maybe help me find how far is too far when messing with the ratios. of monster vs trap vs spell while side decking

  • @TTSNUFF I'll keep this in mind for future videos, thanks for the suggestion!

  • great vid and advice as usual man!! and the end of the vid reminds me I need to play a bit of Skyrim tomorrow lol

  • @OblivianTy7 Thanks! And yes, yes you do need to go play more Skyrim!

  • Really good advice SandTrap! Like i told you on your chanel i split top 2 at locals and won with the most unexpected deck build: D Fissure/Asceticism Sams and half of the time sidedecking would be either taking out the dfissure(s) or trap dusthoot when going second since i know dfissures generally screw opponents moreso when i play it first turn and also prevents maxxc's and veilers. So generaly preritual sidecking practice won me top 2 locals and will hopefully keep me winning! THNX MAN! :D

  • @AldosYoDaddy That's fucking awesome, man! I love to hear about such success happening with a little help from a video :).

  • Is the cornbread for trade?

  • @McNetDeck Nope, only for my tummy braaaaaaaah.

  • FIRST

  • @ytxpikachu hahah nope

  • @ytxpikachu I don't think so, lol.

  • i really need to learn to make it past the into to hit the like button lol

your videos are just always so solid!

  • @TTSNUFF Thanks! :) teehee
