OK whatever you say about Pre is B.S. First he personally helped destroy the corrupt A.A.U. second he once won 24 races in a row. 3rd he help every american record from 2000 meters to 10000 meters. and last he put it running on the map and is the biggest inspiration their can be!

yeah, i'm not impressed with your name dropping. of course the video should include way more people than it does, you're just not appreciating the iconoclastic persona that prefontaine brought to the running world (i.e. going against the AAU). again, you don't really see the true potential of most runners on the track until their late 20's (sometimes even early 30's - look at Lagat in Osaka), so I think Pre had a lot more to give.
late 20 is kinda late...Lagat ran only 3.32 this season..his pb best is 3.26 when he was about 25 years old...and maybe Pre had a lot more to give..no one knows about that...im saying that peopel gives him more then what he deserv...thats about it.

u all shouldve included the race between haile gebresalassie and daniel komen. that was the best race ever , both of them where undefeated and haile breaks lose and breaks the world record at zurich that same race in the 5000

he was 27 when he ran 3.26, and his wins at Worlds were pretty authoritative this year. other than that, i understand what you're saying.
