the good thing about electric drift cars is because its easy to drift dosent make alot of engine noise unlike the nitro rc LOL

I recently bought this kit and i want to convert it from drift spec to normal spec do i just change the tyres?

The Drift Spec is the best, not just because of the tires. The motor is placed in the near-center so it will work for fast nn furious like games, if you know what i mean 8)

Anyway, change the tires (!), buy a better motor (engine) and an aluminum house for the motor (the better the engines is, the more heat it produces). Good luck and have fun!

i have this kit and its pretty good becuse its built by professionals and it has cool chasis with already tuned stuff and its painted with decals and it has lights but there is one thing you dont get battery and charger that sucks

So the ones that say drift spec are the built ones cause they dont look built i just dont want to buy the wrong one, like all of them say drift spec and look the same as the one you have to paint (the Box looks the same)

The ones which you have to build is cheaper of course. This is the ready to run version. This is the drift spec, yes. This has most of the features and hop-ups you need to drift properly (full ball-bearings, oil shocks, tuned motor+esc and so on). You can paint the body yourself but that is expensive and need a lot of time.

Batterys.. that is my question also. None of them has battery included!

im looking into buying the Tamiya Nissan Coppermix , do they have 2 different types. like one siliva drifts, and the other silva dosent, or is there only one type? please write back

the drift spec has more powerful engine, full ball bearings, oiled shocks (better ones) and professional diffs. The average XB - not the drift one can also be tuned but that is a much more expensive way to build a drift car. Anyway, if you are lookinf forward to buy one, its worth the money even if you don't want to drift.

Search for a "drift spec", because you get loads of extras that are necessary to drift properly. What you also need to buy: battery (7.2V-4000 or more mAh), charger and 8 AA batterys for the controller.

I have payed about $400 for all .. you will not find one under $300 I guess. $100-$150 is for an XMOD but a Tamiya RTR. Carson (Tamiya) sells cheaper and smaller models which are extremely good and hopupable :)

U can always buy an XMOD which looks great, is very fast and also hopup compatible.

I bought it in a local hobby shop (rc shop) here in Budapest. You can buy tamiyas nearly everywhere. Just search for "RC tamiya shop" in Google and I am pretty shure yo will find some near to u.
