  • He wasn't a great singer, but he made some good tracks, and this is one.

  • Faith tis Adam, who is in love.

  • I used to love this song when it was first released, it still makes me happy.

  • One of my favourite Adam Faith tracks, thanks for posting

  • Hawkmoon, many thanks for uploading The Long Cigarette, much appreciated by me at least. I am still on the hunt for "This Is The Moment" by The News (from the Adam Adament series), or "Come And Get It" by The Clayton Squares. Thanks again!

  • The Roulettes were a great backing group with super harmonies. I loved The Long Cigarette on pirate radio back in the sixties and was hooked...much underated!

Adam Faith was good with The Roulettes, using Chris Andrew songs, revived his career.....good stuff!

  • @DOMINIC7726 I uploaded 'The long cigarette' a while back.

  • ha ha Adam jumping on the ferry to Liverpool. I remember how embarrased when I first heard this number on the radio - knowing his old stuff.

  • The b-side, made for me, is also FAB!!!

  • Love it, Love it, Love it!

  • American culture???? Could anybody tell me what is this? Peerhaps hamburgers and hot dogs?! Anna

  • @Antematter It would only have been a delay. We have nothing now and the country is turning into a clone of America. We should have kept our culture and enhanced our links with the commonwealth countries. Instead our governments kept up this pretence of the 'special relationship' and with the help of television America has all but taken us over. I have nothing against the American people, but, I don't want to have their culture.

  • my apologies,i just wish they had been from manchester

  • The ending is such a blatant lift from "Please Please Me" it hurts

  • brilliant writing from chris, and great sound from a great manchester beat group

  • @0000491212 I agree, except that The Roulettes were from the Home Counties around London.

  • i wish I could have grown up listing to this stuff instead of hearing it, a lot of it now, for the first time. But hey, better late than never, right?

  • I'm an American and I get it. Great stuff.

  • You know, I am mighty grateful for my youth in Britain, and this music is the reason why. American's just don't get it!
