  • All I can think about is how his hands look like spiders moving around like that. Musically-genius spiders that is.

  • woww *-*

  • who the would dislike this like com on it epic, real music.

  • Perfect perfect tempo. I listen to this and feel like you have control over every single note. That's hard. I liked the 2nd finger on the C sharp in bars 17 - 18. Makes so much more sense than 1st finger. Overall really great pace.

    1st and 2nd movements please!

  • @mrpolaroid123

Exacly, perfect tempo. For some reason most pianists want to play this way too fast. The arpeggios sound like mush at that speed whereas at this tempo every note is articulated clearly.

  • oh my gosh i havent heard this cince my friend played it for me

  • כל הכבוד

  • I don't know why but this one is my favorite...

  • Just love the part where the highs and lows swap 3:50 :)

  • It's hard to have no mistakes in this piece, at least JUST one everyone had.

  • that is just an awesome perfomance!!

  • 1. I really like those arpeggios and

    2. I know you usually play just classical, but you should seriously play Time to Say Goodbye, because that would be really amazing.

  • Omg! This is mind-blowing!!!

  • can u do a tutorial cos its pretty much impossible to play by ear & stuff

    cheers

  • @GennesisDreaMz why play by ear when you can play by sheet?

  • @TheMehryar At times it's more enjoyable, but this is not that time.

  • Congratulations!

I've recorded my interpretation of the first movement of this song, it's on my channel

  • Are you left handed?

  • congratulations. much better than Lsitsa.

  • fingers not of this earth. absolutely amazing.

  • I was gonna make a Chuck Norris joke but it'll ruin the mood

  • A little bit slower than what I'm used to hearing when listening to Moonlight Sonata 3rd Mvt but I've enjoyed this very much. Well played!

  • btw.. beautiful performance and great piano

  • thanks :-) beautiful.

  • Me encanta, Gracias a la gente por subir videos como este :)

  • Great job playing dynamics!! They really enhanced the performance and sound of the song:)

  • Wow, that was great. If I ever saw the sheet music, I'd have a heart attack.

  • I think i just falled in love with Bosendorfer sound !

    Anyway...nice interpretation :)

  • You're amazing!

  • Bravo!

  • Impeccable...

  • WOW! INCREDIBLE! never have heard such accents.CRAZY! EXPLOSIVE!

  • Thanks for playing with expression! geez some of these players are so worried about playing perfectly they forget that people actually want to hear passion.

  • O O

All I can say is WoW!

  • my mind is blown =o= can wait to learn this lol after years of playing

  • @MissVickyLuv

fur elise was the first song i learned on piano XD i hope you do well omg i want to play this so badly too but im at a low level right now =.= im working on egyptian ballet dance by camille saint saens and minuet by ignace paderewski ^_^

  • My laptop overheated right at the end of this video....basically saying "After that, nothing else is worthy."

  • Amazingly performed piece, and such a beautiful sounding piano.

  • Amazing. Simply amazing.

  • The only thing I missed was the enormous applause at the end of the video

  • @marcfnp90 Fuck yeaaaaah this is amazing

  • I watched the whole thing, and am very jealous. And the bad part is, I dont even play piano, just guitar! XD

  • I hope this piano is at least 18...

  • Down right amazing enjoyed this very much and awesome piano by the way.

  • Aural orgasm! :)

  • WOUAAAAAAAAWWW, c'est tellement beau que j'en ai des frissons :D !!!!

  • Next time maybe decaf

  • This is BEAUTIFUL! You did justice to this piece! One of the best interpretations I've heard!

  • This is BEAUTIFUL! You did justice to the song! One of the best interpretations I've heard!

  • Symmetric and with respect to the composer. Something that many so-called pianists forget

  • wow, that was very clean playing :D

  • BRAVO!

  • Quando ouço piano já me lembro de meu amiguinho Daniel Molller

  • outstanding!!! I wish I could play that like you!! :)

  • That was so amazing. I just peed a little.

  • wow! amazing....

  • I wonder how could it feel to become such an amazing person everytime I sit in front of a piano !

  • o, my God!!!

    your so great!!

  • that was beautiful! keep up the great work and i love the piano! sounded amazing!!

  • I agree on the slower tempo... To me, every note has a personality to it and a friend to connect with. There are so many specific notes that can just be savored played slower... Playing it fast is one thing but NOT ALL PEOPLE are musically ear trained to connect those notes. I guess people have a thing with instruments played with hyper speed, HAHA, No Just kidding. I respect people out there that know thier time really well and can actually point out that the original was a faster pace. :)

  • AMAZING!

  • memorized? damn.

  • This is the best interpretation I’ve heard, thus far. If you are so inclined, may I suggest a future attempt be made with a greater level of anger? For example: “The artist’s lover is in the audience. As the sonata progresses, he notices his lover’s husband possessively take her hand in his. Shockwaves of anger, frustration and thoughts of revenge course through the artist’s soul. He knows there is nothing he can do to assuage his passion, for his lover’s position is unmovable.”

  • Tzvi, your works are highly underrated, you should be getting at least hundreds of thousands of views on this.

  • @sackwhacker well.... it does only have 2 dislikes compared to the hundreds of likes... so the "rating" is great so far. however the "views" are rather lacking i think because he only posted this about 3 weeks ago. give it time xD

this is amazing.. i rather like it a bit slower. very articulate and lovely to hear EVERY note so clearly <3

  • @red0tape

oops, I haven't explained what I meant by that. When saying underrated, I was saying that the views are lacking and certainly many aren't seeing that Mr Erez is up there among the best. :D

  • .....this is the slow version??...wow.....you my friend are amazing....

  • rocking the shit out of that Bosendorfer!! awesome job!!!

  • I love this. Thanks for posting. maurice

  • fantasie impromptu @ 7:15

  • I've heard this song all my life and I absolutely love this version. I especially like how you did what I like to call the dance at 1:11. Thank you.

I also like how I got here from an Andrew Bird video. :)

  • ... That was beautiful... Damn how am I supposed to play that? 0.0

  • I ADORE this :)

  • Me being just a beginner "pianist", I have to say this looks incredibly hard to do, so my hat off to you. It seems like you've been playing a really long time, and I want to be just as good. Keep it up! (:

  • WHOA,This is SO AWSOME!!!Omg,I am SO far from being a great pianist!!!

  • WHOA,This is SO AWSOME!!!Omg,I am SO far from being a great pianist:'(

  • And the gods look down to smile at thier greatest creation..... the piano.

  • I usually have heard this Awesome piece in a furious, rocketing tempo...but I think this is greatly satisfying the musical aspect of it, I really like it

  • How long have you been playing? I started about a month ago now. I practice constantly...

How many years have you been playing? I want to get as good as you.

  • Awesome! Thank you! I will keep this thing in my Favorite! Good luck!

  • ★★★★★

Such fire and passion! I simply LOVE it!

  • This is absolutely Amazing! I love watching his fingers zoom up and down the piano. And the Bosendorfer sounds GREAT! Listen to the high quality audio and videography of this piece. Mr. Erez is phenomenal! And I love the tempo too because you can appreciate every single note, played impeccably! I also love the crescendos in the left hand. Something most leave out.

This is one of the reasons why he is my favorite pianist. Amazing video. Thank you for sharing it with us, Sir.

  • This is a very good tempo and amazing performance/ interpetation! I also really enjoy these camera views, they are very artistic and helpful for other pianists such as me! I really appreciate your work! Also, I wanted to ask, are those ivory keys on your piano?

  • @ragtimest Thank you! The keys on my Bosendorfer are the original Ivory keys from the year 1912.

  • @TzviErez Does th ivory keys make feel diffrent ? (just asking)

  • @TzviErez tell me do you use the damper or susteneto? please reply, thanks!")

  • @101elton101 Yes & Yes. Although no marked, I like using the soft pedal on the runs, and explode the chords. The sustain pedal is used throughout (carefully) on and off.

  • Superb!!!!

  • If I only had a Bösendorfer like this one, I would be the happiest person in the world.

  • Brilliant quality. I loved it, although it was slightly slow, I think I actually prefere the piece played slower. Good job.

    -Phil

  • I'm completely astonished by the quality of your videos and performances. Please, keep on with this great work and thanks for sharing!

  • Looooove this version! You are an inspiration to me, sir.

  • Another beautiful piece, thank you Mr Tzvi Erez....diana

  • I like this tempo! Get to hear the nuances.

  • As good as Kempff´s version.

  • Great!

  • It's very beautiful, but isn't it a bit too slow ?

  • @bfeyalcin Please see my comments in the Video Description.

  • @TzviErez sorry, I didn't see it

  • @TzviErez "effortless" - love it.

  • @bfeyalcin " Look people, the fact of the matter is virtuosos are like magicians, they create the illusion of making something difficult to do very easy, in this case the illusion is that the hands look slower than the notes themselves. "

  • Excelente interpretación. Da gusto conocer las calidades profesionales de quien seguramente ama la musica como a su propia vida. Felicitaciones. Estaré ansioso de conocer nuevas melodías.

  • monumental!!!!! my favourite...♥

  • A deaf man wrote this song! OMG

  • @jashpashbgash he wasn't entirely deaf btw, and still it is a superb song

  • breath taking!

  • Good

  • wow this is very good interpretation ...one of the best i have ever heard for sure..

  • bravo

  • WOW!

  • Lovely playing TY for posting.

  • How come today there are many talented pianists able to flawlessly play such amazing pieces, but no one can compose comparable pieces?

  • @TheRightNeutrino Maybe they forgot the free-spirit, The improvisation of Bach, The Feelings Of Beethoven, The Joy Of Mozart.

  • @nimrodlev333 forgot? maybe they never had it.

  • @TheRightNeutrino The answer is market, culture, and interest.

  • @TheRightNeutrino Garbiella Montero can sometimes improvise in a "classical" style it's heard.
