Bell receivers are very good compared to videotron receivers...seriously, its better to rent your videotron pvr...Otherwise, you are better to buy the Bell PVR because in long term it's more economic.
And the quality of the image : AMAZING!! Wish to get Fibe tv soon...
I'm waiting for my 6131 to come in the mail, I got a deal on it so I only payed $125 for it, can't wait, I've been using my old SD reviever on my 47" HDTV for 6 months now and it looks pretty crappy watching stuff in sd lol
I got my bell hd recviever set up today and they didn't set up the component cables with it, they left and I put on some HD channels but they didn't look very HD. So I looked for the box, then I found the cables that they didn't plug in themselves. Seems lazy if you ask me.
i am aware that most people say bell has horrible service. i've been with bell for more than 20 years. internet, cable, phone and cell, never had a problem with them.
They have more channels and for a better price. HD seems to look a little better as well. Bells channels are not "Better" but they do definitely have all the ones that rogers have+ more.
I hope you can help me on my problem. I just bought this receiver and installed on last monday. I'm using component and I bought a HDMI cable witch I plugged into HDMI 2(input on tv) and took off the component cable. (i'm doing right? i guess) there's no signal going into my Samsung HDTV where I turned it on... I tried to plug back the componnent and go back on component 1 and check if there was a setup/config about the output. nothing found. . I hope you can tell me how to fully use my HDMI.
It should pick up the audio and video automatically. Try the HDMI 1 port and see if anything happens. Failing that, try a different cable. If still nothing happens then it may be a problem with the receiver.

I just got hooked up with a Bell HD PVR. It's pretty cool. Mind-blowing having switched from analog cable!
At the moment the amount of channels is still overwhelming. I swear I never remember choosding half the channels on there.
