well, get a rubiksbrand to start with. dont start cubing with a diy, u will be confusing urself. preactice on rubiks they are like bricks. After about 3 or 4 months switch to a diy. I have been practicing with a rubiks for a year, and its a lot easier to get better times on a diy now. but i reccoment type a II. or a type d.
On C4U the Diansheng they sell doesn't say which one you're getting (333 or 222) so how do you know which one is which? I want the 222, but don't know exactly how to tell. Is that the mini one, or is that a whole other thing?
I am curious as to which cube has similar cubies to the Type B. I would love to find a black type B; however, I have been unsuccessful in my numerous attempts. I currently use a store bought Rubik's core with Type B clear cubies and average sub 20 secs without inspection, and with 2 look pll and a hybrid edge aligning technique. Any thoughts on what I could do? I need type B black cubies :( If not, any other cubes have similar cubies to the type B?
Hey guys! Cube4you just came out with a new type A V (5 i think) ! Try it out, looks kinda lika atype F on the website. Would be nice to see a review on those, thinking of buying one so :) yea just wanted to let you guys know :)
they also have a IV (four) but the V you speak of is the upgraded version and is considered superior. I can tell you that we will get to it. But slated for review prior to that will be Type E DS .222, Ghosthand, Type II F, and Taiyan or "Big Goose."
I have a lube related question about the Type A II DIY kit. Whenever I lube it with CRC SIlicone Spray, it starts to smell..badly. Any ideas as to why?
Some plastics such as those used in diansheng and type D and presumeably the type II A react with an ingrediant in CRC. I don't have a chemistry degree but I bet METHYL CHLOROFORM or (1,1,1-TRICHLOROEHANE) is the culprit. Whatever the reason CHLORINE GAS IS BAD!. Moral of story DON't SPRAY INDOORS AND WEAR A RESPIRATOR!
i understand that some people may need a drill. But you have more torque in your hand and wrist then any made drill. True scientific fact look up if you dont beleave me. Nice reveiws by the way 5 stars
just have a few questions... did it get frozen up? did you work in the CRC right away? Did you disassemble and sweep the pieces or did you just spray it in after popping out an edge? Did the colors come off?
yes it froze up. all i did was pop out an edge and sprayed it in a couple times. and the lube DID smear some of the paint that it got on. so be careful with that, i had to re-sticker it.
I personally hate type As all of them feel like theyre right about to pop like half a second away from popping and i cant take it XD it makes me go all slow even though you can go really fast with them, I use a JSK clone
well the mini dianshengs i got werent all good. 1 of them were too loose, and u cant tighten them all the way (the screw just keeps turning if u try to tighten it). And some of the painted colors were really offset as if someone stickered/painted it while they were on a rollercoaster or some shit
the offset painting thing is typical with all dianshengs, I've come to expect that so doesn't bother me. And as for them being hard to adjust I imagine that is a fair criticism but my view is not to try and make it something it's not.
Working with two DIY's now, trying to get the best out of them. Clear fingernail polish works well to keep the caps on, but they still almost identical to a Type C
what happend to you guys??
