You know, I realized that Disney made some great movies the past decade, it's just that it went overboard with the Disney Channel. Wizards, ruining That's So Raven, HannahM, the J bros, ugh! Stupid generic and sterile stuff. The only thing with this modernize a fairy tale. Kids get to appreciate a new culture and it's people. Always a good thing. So many kids are literally sealed off from the world, and many Americans really don't know much outside of their place, this is a nice escape I think.

I think this movie gets a bad reputation.

Personally I liked it but most people I talk to all say that it's not as good as Disney's other films.

That's their choice to make but my problem is that when you already pick one films as being the standard by which all others are mmeasured, most of the time you'll be disappointed.

Just like a movie for what it is, not how it stacks up against others.

I think that title goes to The Hunchback Of Notre Dam. but I was shocked when I saw this film, I didn't expect it to be this good! Also, in this scene I was like "OMG holy S***! Phil freakin' Collins!!" xD

Treasure Planet is also very under-appreciated. Together with Brother Bear they're my favorites in the Disney Pantheon (besides the timeless Lion King, that is. I have a huge soft spot for Lion King). Of course I also love Little Mermaid and Mulan and all those other ones, but they're just not as much to my liking as those top 3 :P
