  • kocham;* jade na was!!!:D spotkamy sie w 2011:**

  • Oh La La!

  • damn navarro on the chorus is rawkus

  • Navarro's tone is awful. He plays the chorus kinda cool but too much distortion.

  • I love this stuff!

  • 3 pounds of love inside ur skull

  • @3waystopcock

I always thought 3lbs Of Love would've been a much better album title.

  • nice titties

  • ppfhh bring on Frusciante he owns Navaro his solo's are insanee!

  • i like the way navarro plays the chorus, but everything else about it isn't even worth listning to compared to frusciante

  • navarro's second solo blows me away

  • do you think at 3:35 Anthony hears that Navarro lead break, twists his head and thinks "if only I could get Navarros precision and Fruscianti's emotion ...."

  • yes I do.

  • yes i am

  • wish i could get this one louder!

  • i thought Arik Marshall played the woodstock 94 recordings?

  • @lilowend

No, Marshall stepped-in when John bailed before Lollapalooza '92.

  • they say frusciante because he wrote it

  • really

    JON

  • I love navarro's solos of this song. different from the original but it still is cool

  • I prefer this version over the original and the live performances with John. Both guitarrist are unique in their own style.

  • this is definately frusciante's song...navaro plays it alright but its just not the same

  • who came after them at woodstock were they the headlining act.

  • they were the final act actually in 94

  • peter gabriel was

  • i think they closed in 99 but not 94.

  • i believe youre right

  • I was about 30 feet from the stage. Incredible time! When RHCP's left the stage, many people cleared out and I moved up to the front for Gabriel.

  • why does it introduce it as frusicante? people.... frusicante and navarro look totally diffrent. get it right!!!

  • it means the song was written by frusicante.

  • they are referrin to whom wrote the song, not the ones performin the song.. Kiedis/Flea/Frusciante/Smith wrote Blood Sugar Sex Magik.. get it, dude?? lol

  • EMPower08 said everything dude..

  • There's an ablum called Woodstock '94 that you guys can get. It has this specifically and other bands like Porno For Pyros, Blind Melon, Bob Dylan, and Joe Cocker.

  • grandi grandiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  • i did like arik marshall when he was with them

he made give it away amazing at the VMAs

  • dave navarro is god...

  • Dave Navarro was God....his solo here is amazing.

  • i always thought dave was a great fit with the chili's.. he brought a different guitar sound to the chili's.. the funk was still there but the guitar textures were fuller and more opened up... i terms of guitar vocabulary and sound i always liked dave better than john.. but as an artist and songwriter i think john has a heads up

  • i think dave's time with them was important because ohm was like a transition from prominent rapping to singing, while still remaining funky(in most songs)

  • i hate it when people say that navarro's playing style didnt fit with the peppers because he was too metal..when if you listen to licks like the outtro here and give it away from woodstock, they're beautiful.

navarro brought an interesting dynamic to the band with his playing style, and in the end i'm glad frusciante is back...but i'm also glad they had the opportunity to play with dave.

  • @BrianSCCS Well said!

  • I'm probably the first one. But don't forget to credit Chad Smith, he rules everyone's ass off !

Chad is definaitly under-rated amongst the RHCP fans. It's a shame !

    Take it Chad !!

  • i think that everyone who saw them live would agree to this..

  • Dave is a great guitarist, for sure, but his playing is more 'metal' than Frusciante's..would fit perfect with Jane's addiction, but not with the Chilis..We have to admitt that the soul of the band is frusciante!

  • agreed. dave was never really a good fit.

  • i LOVED the chillis reading festival 1995 or whatever with dave navarro, anyone got it to upload?

  • no frusciante is much better than dave he's the real rhcp GITTARRISST!!

  • i like how dave changed up the solo. hes a different guitarist completely and i like the different style he brought to the band.

one hot minute is a great album so stop bitching about how dave didnt fit in. if you all like the album too but hate dave your completely contradicting yourselves. stop being fucking retarted. WU TANG

  • dave is a very good guitarist!!and I really enjoy his playing,I think he even played the songs better than john usually does!!!especially the solos!

  • dave is a good guitarist and all but his style is more

metal, john has more veriety and is better for the chilies

the way he uses his guitar is psychedelic..........................

plus 3:15 - 3:18 you get some Tit Magik

  • magik is spelt with a k for this song btw :)

  • I never really liked how Dave played/interpreted John's songs, but I must say I like what he added to the second solo here.

  • theres a cecond solo in the actual song too.

  • Oh, I wasn't saying he added the actual solo. I was saying he added TO it, meaning I liked the twist he put on it. The first solo at about 2:50 was pretty close to the original, but the second solo at 3:28 was decidedly different, and I actually like it as opposed to other times Navarro altered a Frusciante song to fit his own flair.

  • Dave is empty.

  • navarro is a great guitarrist but i never liked the way he played the parts john wrote. OHM was a great album though. I am really glad John rejoined the band.

  • Good book! For a fan it's a MUST and unforgetable! I've just finished it, but if I will have time, i'm gonna read it again! And waiting for another concert!!!

  • just finished the book today and im going to read it again the best ive ever read its a classic and 100% true and from the heart RHCP rock

  • This video is very good.....the best music .....

  • that was ok

  • word. umm why does it say frusciante at the beginning when it clearly isnt?

  • Its just the names of who created the song.

  • um, ok. i didnt know john had anything to do with it. i thought he joined in 98.

  • well he first joined in around late 88 or 89 but left in 92 but then rejoined again in 98.

  • k cool. thanks.

  • He joined in late 1988 after Hillel Slovak passed away from a heroin overdose. He stayed in the band until 1992 and left because he was unhappy with the band's sudden success. During which, he released two solo albums and began addicted to drugs. He became clean in 1998 and rejoined the band.

  • haha. so much info, does it say all this junk in scartissue? cause i read that, just pretty much forgot it all.

  • YOUR FULL OF BULLSHIT ! you didnt read it, There's no way you could forget a book like scar tissue.

  • *sigh* you're right..

i never finished it. i read until.. i dont even remember. some time after he broke his back jumping off that building... or when he did it with that chick on the roof of somewhere.

  • what a great book. you have so much farther to go. I really don't see how you could stop reading it. I'm not really a fan of reading but I couldn't put it down.

  • dave navarro was a great guitarist but he didnt seem funky enough to be in the chillis
