People tend to lump all nuclear weapons together, but there's an enormous difference NUCLEAR (fission) and THERMONUCLEAR (fusion). If Iran has a NUCLEAR weapon, they don't, then it would probably be in the 4-6 kiloton range. Testing would be required and detected before the components could be reduced to the size of a Pakistan's 24-48 HEU-based nuclear warheads. Currently, Iran does not have a long range missile capable of delivering such a warhead to the US mainland.
