@NeonPenn It's your battery life. Over time it drains out and the game gives you less and less extra batteries as you progress. If you run out of batteries your flashlight dies and it's game over.

@generalwhoha29 I think it's just a rage they have that can't be filled. And I think that the American remake kind of messed up the story. In the Japanese Ju-On film, (my opinion) in the end it showed Kayako touching the back of Rika's head in the shower and I got the message that she was trying to get Rika out of the house to avoid her death. Toshio wanted to kill her. In the American film, I think Toshio's hand was coming out of the back of her head and both mom and son were evil :( Saaad! :'(
