Though heath ledger and Mark Hamill's voices are contested. that one recent batman animated film though fucking pissed me off when they didn't have mark to the joker. In fact it pissed me off so much, i stopped watching it afterwords cause i was like. NO fuck that! I WANT MARK to be the voice of the joker! i don't care how good the animation is! Batman:Gotham Knight was an EPIC DC/WB animated blockbuster. This movie took the EPIC Batman genras of Batman, Batman Returns Tim Burton's blockbusters. It also, borrowed from Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever, and Batman and Robin films. It moreso, took the ideas from Chris Nolan's Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight but we also see some Batman:The Animated Series because Scarecrow is in Batman:Gotham Knight as he as in the series, and in Batman:Arkham Asylum and briefly in Batman:Arkham City.

Batman is the perfect American character to be put into an anime. He embodies the Bushido way of the Samurai, and practically invented the "Death of the Parents" back-story(or at least popularized it). I would of love to see more of Batman's villains, like Poison Ivy and Clay Face, and Scarecrows Fear Toxin felt like a bit of a missed opportunity, but I was satisfied with the end product. Would of loved to see a sequel of some sorts.

Long live Joel Schumacher?! surely that's some kind of joke, he was the worst thing to happen to the Batman franchise and displayed absolutley no knowledge of the material he was dealing with. Tim Burton and Chris Nolan demonstrate how it should be done, agreed on the 90s animated series being top drawer though. This looks cool, does anybody know the animation studio? i suspect madhouse or gainax

@draven26 there were lots of animation studios involved. this was kinda like the Animatrix, with different kinds of animation. but the most prominent was Bones (the ones responsible for Sword of the Stranger)
