  • 3 words Rebecca Kyler Downs (iTunes, Amazon or however you want it). She does Sondheim proud. Her album Love Me Like Candy is great!

  • Dick Tracy was such a Great Movie! Madonna did a great job!

  • 0:28 - :40 1:16 - :18 Disgusting sounds.

  • @mlajo9 Making that comparison, here? Your logic is flawed, ma'am and/or sir.

  • Madonna, she was sexy!! I remember being 7 or 8 drooling over her watching this movie! Madonna was and continues to be awesome!

  • Obvious rip off of Monroe but still hot, too bad Madonna sucks now

  • @tadmonte how is this a ripoff of Marilyn? You do know that the Breathless Mahoney character that Madonna is playing has been around since 1945 right? Waaaay before Marilyn even made it into the limelight, it's funny how people seem to forget that Monroe's look, acting style etc came from the 30s and 40s era of hollywood (notably Jean Harlow, the person who influenced Marilyn immensely)

  • @tadmonte I don't think it's a ripoff of anything and why would Madonna stink?

  • Yes. There was an album.

  • Madonna was born to play the role of Breathless Mahoney. Sexy vixen!

  • GREAT movie, Ive watched MANY times, it never gets old!

  • This movie is kind of Cartoonish

  • @tweethang1 It ain't perfect.

  • Great torch song. The genius Broadway composer, Stephen Sondheim wrote this song. That's why it's so fantastic.

  • Love this song!

  • This was one of the best most underrated movie of the 80s. It was a good period piece movie and an excellent comic book movie.

  • i like it when she got slapped then go in her room and then change to that black garment =)) her tits show :))

  • This song was so wasted in this movie. The version she did at the Oscars is the one that should have been in the movie. It was great !

  • Can someone please put up the flim version of "Back in Business"??

  • Defolly my most favortie Modona performance eva XD <3 U Breathless XD

  • Defolly my most favortie Modona performance eva XD <3 U Breathless XD

  • Reminds me of Jessica Rabbit

  • warren beatty plowed that pussy!

  • DANCE MUSIC of MADONNA LIVE by PIANO TEACHER !

  • she is at her hottest here!

  • Could have done without the disgusting sounds from Al Pacino, nice song otherwise. Fun movie.

  • @FoxyTowns That's Paul Sorvine, not Al Pacino. Lips Manliss gets killed by Pacino and takes over his night club...

  • @GavinLiamLogan So it is, but still.

  • @FoxyTowns yeah...it is pretty disgusting!

  • @GavinLiamLogan is AL PACINO there in the movie u dont know read???

  • Man look at that body, back then !

    /Christina

  • I fukn loved thisd movie as a kid

  • i love this song along with the rest of the soundtrack.

  • beautiful song

  • f**k off!! are you not worthy to drive a car because there are people who drive rally cars that are more percise!? who gives a f**k? plus for your info, look at when she performed and sang this live at the 1991 oscars, she sounded much betttr than singing it here and it was live

  • She actually did a geat job on this soundtrack

  • Long Live The Queen!

  • has anyone seen the karen ziemba version? one word: AMAZING madonna and bernadette (who i love) don't even compare

  • why are you guys talking about the music? didnt you notice how her titties looked in that dress?

  • WHO DOES NOT LIKE THE MADONNA is a cretin, a fool

  • Those Mussels looked good

  • Oysters, you mean.

  • Mussels I meAN

  • he's eating oysters dude.

  • CELEBRATION, the Queen of Pop's ultimate hits collection, is out now!!

  • WHO DOES NOT LIKE THE MADONNA is a cretin, a fool

  • aND THOSE two songs are more personal.

Hope you'll get CELEBRATION, Madonna's ultimate greatest hits collection. Out now!

  • that was pretty good!

  • Great sondheim tune. now go listen to the great ruthie henshall absolutely knock this out of the ballpark

  • OMG yes!!! In Putting it Together?! AMAZING! Bernadette Peters nails it too though!

  • I so agree with you she destroys the piece and Bernadite dices it !! They both pull it off Madonna well she put her stamp on it with a coy touch.

  • This isn't the full song is it? I'm pretty sure it's a Stephen Sondheim song.

This isn't as bad as people have been saying it is anyway, I quite like it. Bernadette Peters version is miles better though.

  • she sang two versions of this in the movie..this wasn't the version on the soundtrack I'm breathless...

  • Who's da slinky broad in da little black dress? Va Va Voom!!

  • Love this movie!!!

  • This is one of the few films that did an excellent job of capuring the comic strip. They used bright reds, greens and yellows with black creating the comic strip colors. It has the Tracey world of bizzare violent criminals. You've never seen anything like it.

  • try shutting that hole you call a mouth

  • I always MUCH preferred THIS version to the one on 'I'm Breathless' orchestration wise etc - does anyone have it the mp3 they could send? PLEASE?

  • love this movie

    Madge's looking great!

  • Should say, this movie MUST be seen on the big screen. The effect you saw in the beginning isn't right on the small screen.

It should be back in theaters for a limited time or something.

  • Great movie x

  • HERMOSA MADONNA...VIVA LA REYNA

  • I have her album I'm breathless (1990). This album includes all the songs from DT plus superhit Vogue.

By the way, the movie is great and Madonna'a acting was excellent!

  • the song mighta won the Oscar but the world will remember Madonnas perfomance singing the "song" at the Oscars 1991.

    Thank You very much!

    next?..................................!

  • OMG I love this song!!

  • the songs on this movie r amazing

  • Why does this movie get such a bad rap? It has an enthralling story, it's dark and it's edgy and in many ways ahead of it's time. Not to mention it was produced by Disney...yea...Disney! The same guys who brought you Bambi! And oh yea, it has a killer song that won an Oscar. So... all you haters can just suck it!

  • lmao! haha

  • DICK TRACY did very well at the box office, grossing $104 million, which was a pretty substantial sum at the time (and not bad for a movie that cost $47 million to make). Of course, a nearly unprecendented merchandising campaign didn't hurt either; a video store in my town still displays all its DICK TRACY promotional junk. Warren Beatty really relished making this movie, but was disappointed that so many of his favorite scenes were cut; he one day hopes to release a "special edition."

  • @QueenyMcfaggot It only gets a bad rap cause of Warren Beatty. Judge Dredd gets the same rap because of Stallone (and a few changes from the comic) both are very good films though.

  • @QueenyMcfaggot one of my favorite movies of all time!!!!!!

  • @QueenyMcfaggot (nice name, by the way) I think it had something to do with casting Madonna. Breathless didn't look anything like her in pre-planning of the movie, but all she had to to was suck dick to get the lead role. She was only supposed to do the songs. What a twat. Plus, she looks like a giant mushroom in this scene with that hair and clothing.

  • @QueenyMcfaggot I love that movie. I don't see the bad part to it, it had a good story and was visually outstanding with a nice cast. Plus it did the bad guys justice.

  • @QueenyMcfaggot

It's amazing to think that this movie is almost ten years before Sin City. It truly was years ahead of its time, and has aged exceedingly well.

  • This movie and song rocks the shit!

  • you people are dumb. lol. She didn't win an Oscar. The legendary composer Stephen Sondheim won the Oscar.

  • I love this movie and song

  • Madonna acts fine. The movies are not the best, blame the director...except on Evita that movie rocks!!!

  • was there a soundtrack to this movie?

  • was there a soundtrack to this movie

  • I'm not sure, but I do know that Madonna has an album called 'I'm Breathless', with songs from the movie and inspired by the movie. 'Sooner or Later' is on it too. All the songs have this Dick Tracy like feel to it. All except for Vogue, that is.

  • I think there was a soundtrack that had the score written by Danny elfman...And I love the animated backrounds in the movie....Colors look cool

  • There is, and it is actually fantastic. No Madonna, but some of the same writers as many on "I'm Breathless". Super Big Band stuff.

  • yes, there was

  • @gagbonkers2 There is, but this song is left off. It was released as a single, however.

  • @gagbonkers2 IM breathless is the soundtrack

  • @gagbonkers2 Yes, Madonna´s album "I´m breathless" is the soundtrack for this movie.

  • love the song, luv Madonna, that's why it won an OSCAR

  • Madonna kicked ass!!

  • I'm sure that's why the song won and Oscar

  • I couldn't agree more

  • so why did she won an oscar ?

  • Simple; she f***ed all the critics.

  • She didn't win an oscar, fuckface. The song did.

  • I love it...to bad she didn't do more films that suited her personna like this. She took herself seriously. I like this "live" version of "Sooner or Later" rather than the album version...she sounds better!

  • so sexy

  • Oh I get it now. The oysters are supposed to help him sexually as an old story goes.

  • "Madonna was paid just $35,000 for her performance in this film."

  • Beatty did a brilliant job of making the comic strip come to life. He created the bizzare world of Tracy--a world in which the evil and violent behavior a person is shows on the outside, paying tribute to the 30's era. No the cast of big star villians is what made this movie stand out as great. It is the best thing Madonna ever did. The comic book world of Tracy, like this movie, is a blend of comic book and darkness. A surreal world.

  • Madonna and Al Pacino both ruined this movie for me. It's not that I thought their performances were bad; they were excellent. But they made everybody else look kind of second-rate by comparison. And the entire Breathless/Big Boy relationship was, I thought, really dark and not a little sad. It dragged down what should have been a fun movie for me. If they really wanted to go totally dark, they should've gotten Tim Burton, Sam Raimi, Alex Proyas - anyone but Warren Beatty.

  • Quentin Tarentino said 'Madonna looked like she was the only one who looked like she knew what she was doing in this movie' I thought she was great in this film.

  • That's quite a lot of oysters Lips is putting down.

  • he must love oysters so much.

  • madonna looks so cheap , i love this movie but her character sucks .....sorry fellas

  • Madonna is supposed to be cheap and trashy. A character in love with Tracy who loves Tess and knows Tracy can't spend his life with a slut gun moll like Breathless Mahoney. Tracy feels sorry for her.

  • well , is true

  • She has that beautiful classic look like Marilyn Monroe that's so rare to see nowadays. Gwen Stefani and Christina Agulera could pull of the classic look too.

  • Dita von Teese too

  • sondheim is a genius

  • I was five when I saw this movie and Madonna was so alluring that my face turned red and was embarrassed to watch her in a school boy crush sort of thing. I used to have a crush on her back in the day. But this was a great movie. So well done I thought and it certainly showed a lot of technology for something that came out in 1990!

  • omg, i have the exact same memory. i think we are so lucky, today's kids are not that easily smitten anymore, perhaps. but, yes this flush of red on my face...you described it perfectly.

  • And im another hear, although i cant remember how old i was. Must of been about 5 though.

good to see i wasnt alone!

  • Madonna was hotter than the fiery pits of the most scorching parts of Hell in this movie. Absolutely her peak of hotness.

    And womankind's overall.

  • Absolutely! Madonna simply looks better than any Woman ever in this movie...so sizzling hot and pleasureable to look at that it is almost painful!

  • I love how she sings LIVE in the movie!

She's a true talent!! I love Madonna and this film...though it's kinda generic...I love the art and plain 8 color crayon box color of it!

  • i like the cartoony look of the city in the opening shot. you don't get to see this mix of live action and paintings anymore in today's comic book movies.

  • For the movie, they intentionally used primary colors only like you see in comic books. I always get eye strain after seeing "Dick Tracy." Hmmmm. The yellow is very yellow; the green is very green; the red is very red; the black is very black.

  • can u post the scene where she sings back in business

  • that would be awesome

  • I don't think she sings that in the movie. It's just a song inspired by the movie, I think.

  • She sings "live" in the movie. I went to a local premier of this movie back then and before the showing the movie they explained how certain scenes were shot and in general all vocals are recorded on the set

  • she does

  • I used to want to be 88 Keys as a kid. I'm sure Madonna's performance had something to do with that.

  • you have to see that city scene on the big screen. It's a super great effect lost or not as effective on the small, This movie was made for the big screen.

  • Madonna is so beautiful, and she was great in this movie.

  • she looks lovely she's not an alien for gods sake(avalancheau)

  • Madonna is so sweet in here. The set is so beautiful with that colours One of my faves films! The scene with the full moon is just precious!

  • Does anyone have the scene with the full moon? Thatwas beautiful asking Dick if he loves her.

  • I loved this movie as a kid! Madonna is really cool in this and acts well (so why not always madge?)I love it when they sing more and are supposed to sound like they are doing it badly.

  • she looks romantic

  • I would love to do madonna when she wears this outfit

  • Lol...second that. This is the only reason I like Madonna...her singing Sondheim music is unbeatable

  • Yeah, me too!

  • I love this moive and The romance is soooo awsome <3

  • lol she kinda reminds me of miss "Nikki Fynn" from "whos that girl" with that hair-do lol

  • L.O.L No one can beat Nikki Finn. That was her best character and she was super hot back then!

  • The way she raised her shoulders, her singing, she shows that she can act!
