The original is a great song, but overall almost little redundant and formulaic. If you listened to this song as a fan of the original's genre, you're probably not going to like this. John's whole intent was to take the song in a new direction. He succeeded while adding a new harmonic and melodic element to it. Both great tracks, but I tend to favor things that are outside the box (not that Torme was a slouch). Well, to be fair, I always favor They Might Be Giants.

I'm sorry but this song DOES NOT SWING. He misses some important notes in the bridge as well. It's funny, though. Movie music for a home video.
