@serenaally simple way to tune it half step down is to put a capo on the first fret and tune all the strings to standard from there. then take the capo off, bam your guitar is now tuned half a step down

Most instruments (if not all) have half and whole notes. Since the notes on this guitar are half of a note lower than the open note, you tune it down a half step/note so you can play the song.

@serenaally it is pretty much just regular tuning but tuned one fret down, one fret is a half step, 2 frets ( like where the dots are on the fret board) is a whole step.

for everyone having trouble with this sound sounding weird its cause the tuning is Double open D(DADGAD) with a capo on the first fret to tune it a half step down thts the tuning all time low uses on most os their acoustic songs

do go half step, you put your capo on a normally tuned guitar(E-A-D-G-B-E) on the first fret. That will put each string on 1"level" higher. Next, tune each string down so that it is normally tuned and take your capo off. You then have half step down tunning!

No it is tuning your guitar from EADGBE to E(flat) A(flat) D(flat) G(flat) B(flat) E(flat)

Play the sixth fret of your fifth string and tune your low E string to match the fretted note. When in tune your sixth string should be one octave lower then the sixth fret of the fifth string. Once your low E string is in tune, continue to tune your guitar in the classic standard tuning way. ie hold 5th fret of the string above, match the sound (G string is diffrent, hold the 4th fret of the B string)
