that bow is 180 recurve which produces a lot less velocity then a 180lb compound crossbow...thats approx 225 fps and a the 180 compound ghost 400 produces 400fps..which is way more power then is need at 20-40 yard range...Most hunters bows produce around 300 fps...But this one would still be affective at 20-30 yards with proper bolt and broadhead used by a smart hunter
I5olb draw weight and as for hunting...By the time the animal you are hunting heres the the thing its already too late. The bolts fly at 250 to 295 ft per second so by the time your prey asks itself what its just heard it wwill already have the bolt sticking in its side.
nice crossbow I bought one and I enjoy it , it is enough to down a Mose or hog or deer in the lethal position. so quiet and so accurate .
