TukBodaBike Safe' is a nationwide Kenya Tuktuk - Boda Boda - Motor bike Welfare Association-led motorcyclist casualty reduction initiative that is run by the majority of Tuktuk Boda Boda Motor Bike in Kenya.
Thumbs up for your mom, I've seen those nutcases during rushhour, I still can't fathom why any of them survive just one day on the streets, considering the way they 'drive'.
The Nigerian 'Okada' redefine the term "Reckless" :)
why? its not like they are going at to high a speed. and why wouldn't you trust the driver? because he is black? You racist! He is just as trust worthy as any cab driver...
Then start a campaign (hell, write a two-page document and scan it as a PDF) that details how to ride motorbikes safely. It could potentially reach a few people, who might then widely disseminate tips by word of mouth.

Haha, yeah xDD My mom always calls them Reckless.
They are though. I think they view themselves as giant SUV drivers rather than motocycles :P

How do they get fares with such a high unemployment rate?
SplendidDissenter 2 years ago
Its the same in Colombia

I don't understand. If unemployment is so high how could they pay off the loans so quickly?
It seems the government just distracted the population with a new toy instead of real improvement.

i agree, this is a possibility for the town to develop and grow. i'm also very happy to hear that the banks give loans and that the repayment works.

bikes are dangerous enough, but add unlicensed driver to the mix and bam! You're dead.
SplendidDissenter 2 years ago
as if a license would make you a better driver.

I've lived there and I would rather ride with these guys than with a licensed Kenyan Taxi.

We have these motorbike taxis in Bangkok too.
Surely, they're not the safest thing, but hey, they help liquidate the economy and thats a very good start for economic development.
