I wish KOMO would bring that theme music back. And that logo (with that typeface for the KOMO call letters). The current iteration of KOMO's logo just sucks, IMO.
They did not have a daytime picture then. The night shot was used for all newscasts. In 1998, they changed it to a daytime shot full time. So the 11pm newscast had a daytime background.
Actually, there was a daytime shot for this set. When this set made its debut in October of 1994, it had a daytime shot that, originally, looked like a sunrise simulation because it had way too much orange. I vividly remember watching the first day of this set and hated it.
(contd.) KOMO actually had to change the daytime shot about a month or two into the run of this set due to viewer complaints about the daytime backdrop image. That, and the image they used didn't look good on camera period.
Personally, I would like to see an revived iteration of the 1991-1992 set.
I don't remember hearing about KOMO firing him, although I do remember something about Sabrina Register doing a tribute, because it'd been announced the week prior or something to that affect about him going back to Las Vegas. IMO, Snyder didn't fit well into the role of anchor at KOMO. Their best morning news anchor was George Siegel.
KOMO is anti-White.

Looks like someone forgot to change the skyline backdrop to the daytime shot for 11 a.m.!

@Boulton26 So, it's like how WCBS has used their skyline for the last few years.

Jim Snyder has been an anchor for KVBC in Las Vegas since KOMO released him in 1998.

And that year, KOMO reverted its news branding from "KOMO News 4" to "KOMO 4 News".
